Good traditional pub grub. Took my mother and aunt there for lunch. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming. We will be going again.

Everything to what the pub company do themselves is cook up great & produced food & it's good pub & friendly atmosphere was great. What I ate & chose of the North Atlantic scampi, garden peas & sweet potato chips were gorgeous to eat & dine. The dessert of the chocolate fudge cake with it's ripened strawberry layered with vanilla ice cream was also very tasty to eat as well.

Outstanding food & service. We both ordered chicken fajitas and they were as good as any we had eaten before, including Mexican restaurants. The service was just as good from Gail, for whom nothing was too much trouble! Would thoroughly recommend it!

Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. It was reasonably busy but they sat us right away and everyone was very friendly. The menu had lots of options, especially for vegetarians of which I had the Mediterranean tart with sweet potato fries and salad - highly recommend! It is reasonably priced and overall just a nice place to have a family meal

Food and atmosphere was lovely. Shame the standard of service differed depending on the waitress. When it came to paying we noticed we hadn't been charged for our desserts, there was no thank you for being honest and appeared to be annoyed that we'd almost put her out as she had to re-print. It was a shame as that certainly marred our visit as we left.

Charming rural pub full of character with welcoming friendly and efficient staff. Comprehensive menu with great quality food, with lunch and evening meal menus plus specials & good selection of desserts. Lovely views from the outdoor seating area across the Mid Devon countryside, innovate all weather pod dining & drinking at the frontage and a highly recommended pub to visit.

Fabulous food, very reasonably priced and very disability friendly (I use a walking frame or crutches) Lots of different seating for all seasons and the parking isn't bad. It's also my mum's favourite pub

Absolutely fantastic chance find!!! We had an amazing meal sharing Chicken liver pate on granary toast to start served with accompaniment followed by "Steak night meal for 2 with red wine deal", comprising an 8oz rump steak each, my Husband had crispy sweet potato fries and I had chunky chips, also served with mushrooms, tomato and side salad. For dessert my Husband had Sticky chocolate orange cake and I had Salted Caramel gateau (more like a cake), both presented with double cream and a strawberry to decorate. Staff very welcoming, will definitely return. We eat out fairly regularly and I can honestly say I have not seen my Husband enjoy a meal so much in a long time!! Would highly recommend!!
