What a fantastic property! Beautifully kept with easy to access parking.Upon entry I was greeted by a friendly member of staff and directed to follow the tour route. Each room had an attendant waiting to approach you and begin the rooms history and interesting facts talk. They also left you alone if you smiled nodded and continued looking so nice if you want to nosey peacefully or be engaged with. The ceilings are amazing! Very cleaver with words and creative elements. Look closely at every rooms ceiling!!The dining room had a wonderful message round the top of the walls (visit to see!)The grounds were also beautiful but I was only on a short popping in session so will be back to explore properly another day.Well worth a visit!

A lovely day at Knighthayes with offer of open week with NT & Lottery. Entry with a bought lottery ticket worth £1.00. Gift shop, cafe for lunch, house, beautiful gardens, woods walk, kitchen gardens . Staff helpful all around. Very informative of part of our local history.Queueing for lunch a very unsavoury woman became quite abusive of the serving staff complaining about the menu choice. This is not the staffs fault what is on the menu. We found the menu to be quite varied and to suit differing dietary options. The staff dealt very well with this woman offering apologies and the chance to speak to manager but she declined these offers. We praised the staff for their composure and would state that staff do a fabulous job. They are not there to be abused by anyone. We asked the woman to move on as she was causing unnecessary embarrassment and a long queue of people.Well done Knightshayes for giving us a lovely day out. We will be back to see more and do it again.

This was out first visit and we will be back. Lovely grounds. House is lovely with friendly volunteers. We will definitely be back when they open the upstairs rooms. Lots of people walking their dogs. Toilets were clean. Coffee shop looked lovely and busy. A few steep-ish inclines but not too bad. Few steps here and there.

As a mobility scooter user we had already looked up accessibility on the National Trust website. It told us that most of the gardens were accessible so we went with confidence for a meander. We were given a map which outlined the accessible route, the only problem is once you're in the gardens the accessible paths are not marked and although the different areas of the garden are signposted they are not named on the map. This made it very difficult to find the accessible path. Also my scooter just couldn't make it up some of the steep slopes. I was very disappointed as what I could see of the gardens looked lovely, even for November. There are a lot of trees. If ever I invest in a Tramper scooter (more of an off road scooter) I may try again.Apart from that the coffee shop looked nice but was too busy to use. The shop is quite small and unless it's empty is difficult to navigate in a scooter or wheelchair. The house, which is closed Winter time, looked impressive from the outside.

Lovely landscaped parkland and large walled garden full of interesting plants. Beautiful autumn colours when we visited. Cafe does cream teas, cakes, baguettes and good coffee. Lots of unobtrusive parking. Well worth visit.

Beautiful house, gardens and parkland. Although only the ground floor of the house is open at the moment. The walled garden is just amazing. Lovely walks around the ground with spectacular views. Nice cafe and shop in the old stables. Highly recommended.

A really lovely place to visit where you can spend all day. They have a lovely cafè and shop. There are so many gardens to explore and lots of fun for the kids with mazes and a small play park (for older kids). Only the downstairs of the house is currently open. Definitely worth a visit as it's a lovely day out for all the family. Dogs also welcome on the grounds for walks.

Breathtaking views around the grounds. A beautiful and wide range of flowers and trees. Well maintained. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. A lovely few hours out. Plenty of parking space and a cafe and shop for snacks and souvenirs. Definitely one to visit on the National Trust list.

Really well kept gardens and grounds - beautiful for a sunny day with the kids. The house is very interesting given it is only 160 years old but feels much older. The staff were very well informed and keen to answer our kids' questions, of which there were many!
