Red Deer in Mid Devon

Nice tasting burgers fairly standard meal really similar to table table, brewers fayre not anything special but not bad either. Nice pub staff where all nice aswell would go again

Had a fantastic meal with the family and wonderfull service, the food was excellent, My steak was cooked to perfection. The pub was nice, clean and tidy we've been served with a nice young gentlemen he was running the food, he had a big smile and made our evening, thank you for the great service. We'll be back soon 😀

Very nice place. We didn't book but they found us a table with no problems. Very straightforward ordering at the bar. We ordered two crispy chickens to start very tasty but not that crispy for my liking( the wife said they were perfect). I ordered steak and ale pie and that was very tasty too and the wife ordered hunters chicken(the small one) and it was cooked perfectly. The staff was very friendly and professional and asked us if everything was OK with our meals. We will be calling again

Great menu choice, two for one on main meals, staff friendly and welcoming and dog friendly. Look forward to next visit.

Yusuf always looks after us well , food is always good and on time the only criticism i would make is why donsnt the the Red dear do table sevice as do the Pinhoe HOARD and the Fisherman’s Cot ,it then be perfect.

Food was amazing and served hot even though restaurant full. The pace between each course was perfect and we didn't feel rushed.The staff were friendly and attentive. An added touch was we asked for an extra glass as it was our first Xmas without my husband. The staff member picked up the hint and asked if we wanted a tag for their remembrance tree. Such a small but personal gesture, demonstrating excellent customer service.

What an amazing experience I've had in Red Deer. Staff is really friendly and approachable, place is very clean & tidy. Food is great, especially The Knockout Burger which guarantees to fill You up to the top. Highly recommend this wonderful pub. 5 stars for me

when we arrived and waited at the door, we could see the staff were busy but no one acknowledged us at all. We could see no one was free to come over to us but a simple" we won't keep you long" would of been nice. However the waiter that did come over to us did apologise and was very polite. Food was brilliant.

Food good we had a roast beef dinner, drinks good I like pedigree, welcome friendly.Our experience was spoiled by the feeling of the staff losing interest in the customers by 3:30, even though the pub was emptying out by then, we had a long time to wait for our dessert, it felt like the staff was glad to see the back of us, we had been polite and friendly with your staff even when told that there was no chicken or turkey so we just went with the beef option.I could recommend the Red Deer for the food and drinks but feel quite strongly that it is the managers responsibility to keep the serving staff motivated and professional at all times.
