A really nice, comfortable and friendly place to visit. Staff are very helpful and friendly. We only stopped for a coffee, but, having seen the food being served, we will definitely be booking ourselves in for a meal. We sat in the garden, by the river on this visit. Beautiful.

Came here alone for work, and was looked after very well and at a great price. It's easily the best place I've stayed at around here.A lot to choose from on the menu and a friendly bar. The owners went above and beyond and always included me in the bar conversations. The river runs through their lovely garden and everything is neat and tidy. I will be staying here every time I come down this way for work.

We come here every year, for an event. It's positioned in a stunning setting, with a large garden next to the river. On warmer days it's great to sit outside. There's a spacious car park opposite, with a public footpath across the field. The staff are welcoming and friendly providing an excellent service. The restaurant and bar area are attractively designed, with a variety of different sized tables and sofa areas. Art work adorns the space, which is available to buy. The food is very good and reasonably priced. A great place to stop.

Fantastic pub and would strongly recommend to anyone in the area!!! Service is fantastic, everyone who works there is extremely friendly and helpful, they can’t do enough!! They got us in LAST MINUTE ON A SUNDAY for lunch and were very dog friendly (a big deal for us!) the portion sizes are incredibly generous for a very fair price and the service is always quick, very homely place!!! The pub is spotless and the garden is gorgeous! Have been back 3 times and each time was as brilliant as the last, definitely will be returning again!!!!!

Managed to get in here on a Saturday night having not been able to get in anywhere in Dulverton. Nice pub by the river but my heart sank when I saw it was a Greene King Pub. However they've clearly got licence to create their own menu. I had the Sea bass and my wife the veggie lasagne. Portions were brilliant. I thought I had 2 fish? Clearly a big fish cut in half. It was absolutely brilliant. Good service. Would definitely recommend for food. Thank you.

We were on our way back from Tarr Steps and across The Anchor Inn. It is very dog friendly pub. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We had lunch with myself having Vegetable Lasagne and my wife having Ham, Egg and Chips. Wow when the food arrived the portions size was huge. Very good value for what we paid. Excellent service and would recommend to anyone.

Just had a Sunday roast. Nice place in a nice spot but the food didn't live up to the expectations. The plates came out with the meat, spuds and Yorkshire and looked promising. Then a veg tray came out for 2 with one lump of cauliflower cheese, barley enough carrots and broccoli for one and some leek, sweet potato mash and parsnips. I mean who eats leeks, sweet potato and parsnips. Nice idea but a choice of veg when ordering and put on the plate would've made it more enjoyable if carvery isn't possible. The dessert menu was pretty poor too, so much we didn't bother, and I likes me puddings!Had a cheap and cheerful Toby carvery a couple weeks ago and it put this to shame.Nice pub though.

Enjoyable stay. Pleasant, quiet room. Fantastic riverside location ( saw a kingfisher twice!). Good and very filling full English breakfast. Evening meal from the bar menu good and very filling. Good pub grub. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would go back
