The Globe Inn Restaurant in Mid Devon

Pleasantly surprised how good this place is. Used it for a lunch stop on route to North Devon rather than an M5 services. Food was delicious and very plentiful. Staff were really helpful. Lovely table outside. Will definitely come again when traveling this way.

Met tour Son and Daughter-in-law here for lunch. What a treat the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. The weather was good so we sat in an outside covered area at the rear of the pub. The food was fantastic. My only regret now is that I never took any photos to pass on. I chose the Fajitas and was amazed when it was served. It came on two plates. The first had two large Fajita wraps, a large portion of chips, a side salad a portion of chilli sauce and a portion of sour cream. The second plate was a sizzle plate filled with the fajita filling . I chose the chicken filling and it was piping hot on the sizzle plate. Too much for me to eat for lunch so the staff kindly wrapped up my second Fajita to take away. Not to be missed if you are in the area. Best lunch I had eaten in a long time

Already written one negative review after visiting with friends.Unfortunately, I went back after being invited by another group of friends for a birthday.Staff were very young and poorly trained which resulted in one of our party being scolded with hot sauce! Quite a nasty burn.Had no response from the owner who seem to spend much of the night talking loudly behind the bar.I had ordered Cod and chips with peas. Most of the cod had a soggy batter. Counted 12 chips?Peas were ok.Definitely, my last time here. Plenty of other pubs around with Chefs who care about customer satisfaction with their food.

Great pub with good food. We had the Sunday roast. You get a choice of 4 meats and a good selection of vegetables. You definitely need to book as this is a very popular location. The large carpark backs onto the canal so you get the opportunity to have a stroll along the towpath after lunch.

Food was lush, my dog was so well looked after. Think the staff liked him more than us. He had a biscuit bone and a full bowl of water before we had our drinks. In all great place to eat and drink. Love it

Visited a fair few times now and everytime the staff go above and beyond.My mum ordered the chicken burger however unfortunately they were out of chicken so the chef cooked something completely off the menu for her. It was so delicious.As soon as you walk in your dog gets a treat and a bowl of water too. The food is beautiful and its always so clean.Management should be so proud of their staff.

Visiting from Dorset, we went into Tiverton looking for a pub. Most of them not appealing or welcoming to dogs. Our last hope before we headed back was the globe. The staff were so welcoming, offered the dogs water and treats. Served us straight away, lovely selection of beers etc. We had a meal there and my partner says it’s the best steak and Stilton pie he has ever had. A lovely young girl was serving us, the dogs loved her and she was a great host. We will be coming here again 100%. Thanks so much guys

Our second visit to The Globe Inn and again not disappointed! Fantastic food, friendly staff, cosy atmosphere. Will visit again soon.

Went here for a meal and was pleasantly surprised, I had the scampi and realy enjoyed it,they also have sky TV for the footy, would definitely recommend

Brillant pub will really attentive staff. Have visited 3 times during our visit to the area, once for coffee, an evening meal and after pint after a long walk back from Tiverton.Menu was a typical pub format so if you are looking for something a little different this won't be for you. But what we did order arrived really quickly and was first class and you dont go home feeling hungry.A pub I would happily recommend and use again if we return to the area.
