The Golden Lion in Mid Devon

Very disappointing. Just had a Take Away delivered 19/06/2022. Total waste of money. This is the second time now. I like to give second chance.. Virtually uneatable. Egg Fried Rice had lumps of hard rice. Meat didn't taste good . Side order of mushrooms had something like white specks and a strange taste. Ended up putting in the bin. Never again.

Superb. First order from this Chinese was extremely successful. Piping hot, fresh and tasty. We will definitely be ordering again.

Great food, great price, great service thank you

Pretty poor unfortunately. The crispy beef was coasted In a super sweet, and quite unpleasant sweet and sour sauce. We all love it from other places but two orders now going in the bin. Satay chicken (satay should taste of peanuts unless I'm wrong?) Is just boiled chicken in a slightly spicy brown water. Not a single hint of satay. Hardly any flavour at all. Shame. I don't get to treat the family to take away very often and this has been a big waste of money 😕 The rest was just kinda OK. No one here finished theirs and seemed a bit let down.

Me and my GF came up from London to Devon for a holiday . and we fancy a Chinese takeaway very good portion size the chicken curry and chicken balls was awesome high quality food very friendly gentleman serving us very nice guy I wish I had a take away like that near my house

Always great quality takeaway, definitely best i. Cullompton, the time of delivery is quite long but there is a collection option which is quicker. Fair prices and massive portions! Sweet and sour sauce needs upgrade though!

Without question, the best Chinese takeaway for miles around.Excellent on the phone, very prompt delivery and it’s piping hot.Genuine customer and not a friend of the business.Albeit....I am now! 😉Shiney...Uffculme.... yes they deliver out here too. 👍

Great Chinese, always very friendly and the food is always delivered hot and tasty. Always very happy to order from here and have done for a few years now.

The food is amazing, especially if you eat in. The deliver service is handy but they say it will take about an hour, but 99.9% of the time it always comes early so don't go out or jump in the shower ( I speak from experience with that 1 ) also some times it can get to you a little cool instead of piping hot , but that is a rare thing, and if you call up to tell them they are always happy 2 sort it out for you. The younger staff need 2 learn customer service more than being on their phones or chatting to each other, but it's the same no matter where you these days with younger staff. I highly recommend this place . The 'all u can eat buffet' is really good and great value. The dishes are cooked fresh 2 order.

I tried delivery tonight and it ruined my evening. I waited till after the rush to order.Told 50 mins to a hour.Hour and a half later it arrives with a rude driver who put my food on the floor instead of handing it to me.The food was cold and the condensation in containers from sitting in a heat cupboard and in a car ages made the food full of water.Spring roll were so small they had nothing in them.Asked for egg fried rice and given one with meat in and charged £6 I'm vegetarian.Disappointed.No hot box used.Put most of it in the bin.
