The Independent Coffee Trader in Mid Devon

We always head for independent cafes above chains. Beautiful crockery which does make a difference. Friendly welcoming staff. Could do with more variety food wise and the flooring needs changing. Love the baby leather armchair for children.

Small but delightful cafe. Plenty of delicious gluten free cakes. We called in randomly on the way past Tiverton, but I'd definitely make a detour to go there again!

Small, friendly and locally owned and operated. Far better than any "national chain" . Excellent cheesy scones as well!!

A gem of a find! Went in yesterday for coffee and cake as it was my Mother in Laws birthday. We were not disappointed - Mother in Law had a Belgian hot chocolate with cream on top and a delicious piece of moist carrot cake. Was all served in the most beautiful blue China from Poland. My husband had an Americanco and was asked how many shots he wanted. I also had a hot chocolate which was made to perfection and I have sampled hundreds of hot chocolates in my time. If I was into Instagram it would have made a stunning picture! The owner was a lovely lady and was very helpful. 100% worth a visit!

Fab delicious coffee ! Nice to sit amongst the locals & watch life go by. Owned by a lovely friendly cpl who made us feel very welcome. Carrot cake was really good

Great coffee and food, welcoming staff. They made a big fuss over my dog who was excited to meet them.

Good food, great drinks, average prices. However didn't have much consideration at all for nervous customers and didn't wear any masks whilst making things, and I didn't see the staff wash or sanitize their hands either. My friend came here very nervously and was very disappointed.

Lovely cake and coffee and friendly staff, couple of things though, you may want to put a notice up saying, 'please find a seat and order at counter' as it was unclear if it was table service or not, also from outside there is nothing to say you have further seating at rear and may appear to have no free tables when looking from the street.

Friendly staff to entice and temp you with a tasty cake selection joined by a Hot Chocolate or Coffee chaser, wonderful.
