very welcome pint after a long drive, spacious room. Great breakfast and a chatty parrot.

Stayed here one night due to a local wedding. Very nice comfortable room and pleasant staff.

Excellent food & service. What a gem to have locally. Sunday roasts are delicious, filing & comforting . Staff are very welcoming, make you feel relaxed instantly.

What a lovely place friendly staff and excellent food. Will be going to here again before we return home to Wales.

Had a lovely family evening meal, sat by the fire. The food was excellent and very friendly service. Good selection of hand pulled beers and ciders. Would definitely recommend a visit and we will be returning. Although it was a winter time visit this week, the beer garden, we discovered, by the stream looks lovely too. Roll on summer! Captain, the talking resident parrot, was on form too... ;-)

All I can say is "How fortunate were we to have stayed in this charming place". The welcome and hospitality from Mark, Teresa and The Captain was fantastic. The Evening Meal was Fabulous and the Breakfast Amazing. The only disappointment for me was that I could only stay one night. I had a puppy waiting for me to take home to Norfolk.🤩

Popped in for a late Sunday lunch after searching 'dog-friendly pubs near me'. What a great decision! Friendly service and an amazing roast lunch in a proper old Devon inn.

Very good accomodation and food. The vegetables and mushrooms for dinner were excellent and complimented by a full English breakfast. We had the downstairs bedroom. This was very accessible though it had no adaptions.

Proper country pub, the way the are supposed to be. Privately owned and run, fresh and home cooked food, warm and friendly. Beautiful pub in a beautiful location. Can't recommend it enough.
