What a find! Truly lovely staff, the most 'real' atmosphere for a hotel/pub - with lovely fires, comfy seats and good beer. Food was great, and everything priced on a scale that makes so much sense. A real find, loved it, will return. (could do with Highland Park 12yrs whiskey though ;) ) (If you are looking for a cosy pub feel with real people at the bar AND great grub and rooms - in a very beautiful place look no further)

Absolutely incredible meal. Can't wait for the kitchen to open up again to return. The starter was the best ever had the chorizo cream sauce was just to die for. All the food was outstanding.

Stayed overnight for a lads walking trip on Exmoor. Friendly pub, great food and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Wonderful. Otter ales on hand pump, lovely comfortable modern bedrooms, first class English breakfast, very friendly staff. Just right. We'll be back.

Stayed here on Friday night , very friendly staff , Saturday morning had lovely breakfast, however the lady that was waiting on tables was in a rush to clear tables whilst still sat at the table eating , hubby hadn't finished breakfast and asked for some toast , earlier the breakfast lady took all jams and spreads and passed to another table leaving him without so he had to ask for more .Don't think its proper table etiquette to clear tables whilst people are still sat there

Brilliant. Definitely would use again. Such lovely staff. And a friendly atmosphere. Locals were very welcoming. Food brilliant.

We visited the Red Lion Hotel for my Husband's Birthday during our holiday in Exebridge. We were actually told by another local food pub that their approach to Covid-19 was poor and as a result they wouldn't recommend. They couldn't be more wrong!!! Very Covid safe and the food and service overall was excellent. We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to the owners, who were the most loveliest people and advised that our 7 year old could have anything on the menu at a child portion and price. All staff are very welcoming and the locals too, we had a wonderful evening and we highly recommend.
