Lovely traditional country pub ran by lovely welcoming couple

Fabulous, good value food and very generous portions. I had the roast beef, which was delicious.

We had take a takeaway fish and chips ,very nice and friendly people ,and the meal was spot on

On two nights we enjoyed great food well cooked very promptly and great menu

The beer was good but some of the party were not impressed with their roast lunch. The fish and chips were excellent. Eating outside was spoilt by the landlord having a smelly bonfire by the beer garden.

Disappointing atmosphere.We stopped for a quick lunch and chose The Redwoods because of the positive reviews. It was empty of customers and atmosphere. The landlady was hospitable to start with but made it very clear that we needed to be out soon as “we close at 2”. As it was cold, we asked for an extra log on the dying fire but were told “no. I don’t want it burning this afternoon”. Food ok and lots of choice. Good pub grub.

Just had a great meal tonight , good generous portions, reasonably priced, friendly bar & staff good atmosphere with the fire lit. Definitely will be going back there with friends. Good country pub.
