Very disappointed.Had heard such good reports that I decided to take family here for Sunday lunch.Beef was very tough and grisly and lamb extremely fatty, vegetables were standard. The upstairs overflow room where we were seated lacks atmosphere and ambiance. £90 for 3 dinners….. certainly wouldn’t visit again.

Not the average pub. A menu with a real difference. Food well prepared and presented. Great mix of flavours. Staff very friendly and helpful... and a sense of humour. They put up with our small party! Definitely on for a return visit.

Very enjoyable meal here on a Saturday night. Have to book to ensure a table available. Recommend the crab starter and Skate wing for Main, no room for pudding!!Went with friends who were local to area and they said menu does change on a regular basis.

Had a fantastic overnight stay at this place, Paul and Donna couldn't have done more to make us welcome and we felt really looked after during our stay. The room was excellent and had all the luxuries we required and more. We also went to Spelt for dinner (which they also own) and had a fantastic meal. Thanks to everyone for a wonderful stay!

This is the second time we have stayed at The Swan Inn and as before, it did not disappoint! Owner / Chef Paul and his team provide an excellent, friendly service and make you feel welcome. Paul goes the extra mile to ensure that you have everything you need and nothing is too much trouble for him.The rooms are comfortable, spotlessly clean and well equipped, with a fridge and Nespresso style coffee maker. The food (breakfast and dinner) is nicely presented, flavoursome, with a good choice of dishes. The Bampton area is very picturesque with some great walks and biking routes.

I have stayed here during lockdown and eaten here. The way the Swan is run and the friendliness of the staff, and the locals, made it a real pleasure. The Landlord was really hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend

Some of the best pub food I’ve ever come across. Fantastic selection of real ales and other drinks. Friendly, welcoming staff. Great experience, hugely recommend

This was our second visit. First time was during a more strict era of the pandemic so the clear plastic dividers between tables made it feel a bit austere although service was friendly. We did an overnight stay including dinner and breakfast. All very good. This time was a long Friday lunch (we're retired) which was excellent. Very friendly atmosphere.

Booked in for a Sunday lunch with 10 mates on the way home from a stag do after a recommendation from one of the foodier members of our gang and we couldn't have been better looked after - starters were delicious, the Sunday roasts were all fantastic and desserts well worth saving space for (the Eton Mess was particularly good). Looking forward to heading back with the family next time we're close by 🙂

Food was so good! Cannot fault it- we went there for a birthday meal and it did not disappoint. We asked for a table on the side because we had a dog with us and the staff arranged that too. We were told it might be a bit of a wait for food because they cook it from fresh, but that was fine as we were told about it and it was really worth the wait!!
