Popped in on the off chance looking for a late Sunday bite to eat. Had initial concerns when we entered "locals territory" but the atmosphere was quickly recognised as friendly. To top it off, Sunday lunch was delicious, generous and not over complicated. Perfect! If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely be trying the pizzas!P.s. very dog friendly and they will be spoilt!

Lovely warm and welcoming local pub with delicious food, cooked by lovely chef Bob. Definitely recommend the handmade pizzas.

Best fillet steak and glorious sticky toffee pud! Chef passionate about produce and so skilled. Staff super friendly. Visited Bampton on our trip around Exmoor National Park and surrounding area. So glad we stopped here for our Sunday lunch.

Red Snapper and Spiced Oriental Stir Fry was delicious with just the right degree of heat in the spice, 3 pieces of Southern Fried Chicken with chips and as the Chef said you probably couldnt eat the larger 6 piece size. and he was right.Friendly atmosphere and although short staffed at the time was very efficient and didnt wait very long for our food which was well worth the short wait. Also very inexpensive and very good value.

Popped in with the family on a rainy day as staying nearby on holiday.Lovely food and attentive staff. Pizza's and Pork steak were lovely.

The pub is a great friendly place. As vegetarians me and my wife were offered multiple delicious foods and not just the usual standard one choice option as with the other establishments in the area.Also Bob the landlord is friendly and always up for a chat. Ask about his travelling life for a fun and interesting set of stories. The other patrons themselves were also very welcoming and quirky too. All in all a great place to wind down in the evening, especially if you have had a good walk round the exmoor national park during the day.
