We had a very pleasant meal in the pub/restaurant.The landlord was very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely with the large log burner. The food was reasonably priced, well portioned and tasty. There was a good selection of local beers and ciders. We have heard very good things about the Sunday roast!Would gladly visit again.

What a wonderful place, great log fire burner too! Service was great even though the wife wasn't working that night, both husband & wife attended to us with efficiency, very attentive, food was delicious & well presented! What more can I say... Other than, would thoroughly recommend.

The food was great. The staff friendly and welcoming. We booked last minute on the Friday and room was found for us. It was so good we returned there for what turned out to be a yummy Sunday lunch. They take dogs as well. Malc, Suzie and Nellie the ginger ninja.

Very expensive. Very tasty roast but had to pay £4 for a portion of cauliflower cheese and £1.50 per person for extra gravy which I thought was disgusting on top of paying £17 each for a plated dinner which wasn’t overly big at all. Drinks were very expensive Wouldn’t visit again at these prices!!

Remembering VAT was at 5% not 20% due to Covid, 2 drinks cost £11. !! Food also Very expensive and very ordinary. You can do much better elsewhere. Manager rude. Avoid if you want a nice meal

I like this pub, (closed Wednesdays) variety of beer/lager/cider. Need to book for evening meal, I called ridiculously early one morning, call was answered and booked. The menu is lovely, tad more expensive as they are not run of the mill pub grub, they are of a higher class. I liked how you ordered on a pre-printed paper and handed over the bar. Friendly staff good service allows dogs and kids in the bar

What a great pub. Went for dinner last night with the family and the dog. The staff are super friendly and very welcoming. The food is fantastic - highly recommend this place but you'll have to book early.

Family and dog-friendly, beautiful exterior. Staff pleasant. Very busy. That's the positives. The food is ok but really just ok. All arrived at different times, had to ask for and then go and get cutlery. Our choices included:Kids meal - £7.50 (5 nuggets, fries and a spoonful of beans. No drink or dessert included).£16 for a tiny veg lasagne and 2 pieces of dry garlic bread.Burger or Scampi was best option but again £16Absolutely don't mind paying these prices when food is good, fresh not frozen, served warm and all comes at same time. Unfortunately none of those. Appreciate a very difficult time for hospitality with staffing, but this was not the issue with our meal.

We enjoyed a 9 night stay at the hotel, and we had a really lovely time. Jan and Kevin are so friendly, always make time to stop for a chat and really make you feel welcome. The food in both the pub and the hotel itself is delicious, the breakfast menu caters for everyone and nothing was too much trouble, they even catered perfectly for our 3 year old son.Our room was the perfect size, really clean with a light and airy feel to it. The grounds are beautiful too! We would highly recommend to anyone staying in Lynton, as you won’t be disappointed :)
