Black and White Fish and Chips Takeaway in North Devon

Disgusting that’s all I can say about the food I bought.Fish is sold from the merchant and you pay a small extra fee to receive it boned and skinned.Paid £6.50 for a piece of fish that still had the skin left on. Fish only smells when it’s old this stunk. Beware don’t waste your money here. They don’t deserve your business.

Sent kids in for child's nuggets and chips X2 plus extra chips. The kids were sold adult meals and adult prices. Questioned on the phone afterwards without any real explaination.The person on the phone lacked communication skills. I guess I shouldn't be encouraging them to be independent. I have checked prices on the online menu using adult prices and I feel even these don't come to what was charged. I really feel the children were taken advantage of. The picture shows what you get for £17.40.

Best fish and chips I’ve had in long time, don’t care what anyone says it just taste better by the sea! And this place delivered quality fish and chips, staff friendly, helpful and quick as people were queuing out the door would definitely use every time I’m in the area.Thanks

Large Haydock & Chips x2..Chips were hard as nails , obviously taken from the hotbox and re-fried , I wish I had looked more closely as they were shovelled into the box. The Haddock was cooked freshly and was decent enough but by no means outstanding, had it been on par with the chips I'd have gone back! and asked asked for my money back. Check before buying is my advice !!!

As per other reviews, the food here is perfectly cooked. We ordered Rock fish and chips and a battered sausage. Chips reminded me of old school fish and chips back home. Very tasty. Don't be fooled by the queue that's just covid measures. We were fully served within a half hr and that included cook time waiting.

Best fish and chips I've had in ages!The queue was about 12 people long, down the street on a Friday eve, but I was served in about 20mins. Both the cod and the chips were perfectly cooked and the staff were all very friendly. There's a little car park opposite too.

Great chippy, was staying on caravan site in area. USED this chippy twice in my stay, both times the staff were helpful and food hot and fresh. The fish was amazing, one of the better chippies I have been to. They have clear covid rules in place to follow, Would use again when in combe martin

Has to be the best Fish & chips we've had for a long time. We ordered in advance to make sure we had Rock & oh what a succulent piece of Rock. We also had Cod & that was as fresh as if just caught. Chips were amazing, I think they are twice cooked so fluffy & crisp on the outside & fluffy potatoe inside. Amazing happy, friendly staff. Thanks for a fab best of the best fish & chips (in our opinion). Keep up the amazing service.
