Broomhill Art Hotel and Scupture Garden restaurant in North Devon

Lovely hotel. Great breakfast. Sumptuous rooms. Only downside was ours stunk of the kitchen cooking (extraction vent needs to be moved) and had a terrible shower. I appreciate that the upgrades were a work in progress though. Everything else about the room was very quirky and luxurious. Enjoyed a stroll around the sculpture park too. Lots of interesting pieces.

So I’m somewhat conflicted about my feelings on this place. On the one hand, the hotel is fabulous and it was a peaceful place to be. On the other hand, the food was very expensive and we were charged £20 per night for EV charging, which is grotesque profiteering. Managed to get it down to £20 given we only plugged in one night (with permission and no warning from the chap that cleared the space for us), but still, the charge is massively disproportionate to the amount of electricity used. So, came away feeling less positive… I’d suggest a rethink on the charging policy, along with some signage please.

Broomhill estate is one of those rare, English, eccentric, hidden gems.The land around the estate is dramatic and peppered with wonderful sculpture. The hotel is refreshing, understated, modern and yet still encased by a lovely old house.The staff are on point and the manager and her partner are incredibly welcoming, friendly and never failed to meet our expectations.Well worth a visit and a stay to explore this remarkable part of the world.

Excellent location , lovely rooms. Just need more pressure in the shower, but you have to bear with it due to age of building.

We had a glorious long weekend of which our room was called Amelie. The Hotel is fascinating with owners and staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely walk around the grounds whilst viewing the sculptures. Good selection of food as we're vegetarian, though I would say the portions could have been bit more. This was my birthday treat and we loved it

We had a lovely meal here yesterday evening. The food was great and the waitress have excellent and friendly service. The only downside was the long walk up to the hotel from the lower car park.

Jackie and her team couldn't have been more welcoming to our group. The location and food are amazing, the rooms are beautiful and so clean, and the team are professional and great fun to boot. I'll be coming back and bringing friends 😊

Wow, just wowWhere do I begin....what a beautiful, relaxed, welcoming hidden gemFood worthy of Michelin stars, the most beautiful and comfortable HUGE bedrooms I have ever seen, art everywhere you look and I want to buy all the furniture for my own house. As for the sculpture park, just so peaceful (except the welcome to the third millenium exhibit which is so emotive it brought me to tears) Top that off with a hostess who genuinely wants to talk and show you around. Thank you Jackie and team. I can't wait to return

What a great hotel, staff very friendly. Breakfast very tasty , evening meal was superb fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection and served by a great team. Hotel decoration is fab, something for everyone. I am no art critic but enjoyed walking the grounds and look at the sculptures. We will definitely be back thank you Broomhill team

Love this park. Wandering around the estate is incredibly calming, and there is a broad variety of sculptures throughout, so surely something for everyone. It was great to see some more 'exhibition' style gatherings of works by specific artists, and experience the pieces more cohesively. The collection has definitely grown since I visited a few years ago. I took the receptionist/manager's advice and had tea and cake after going around the park, and before going around the National Sculpture Prize, which was also enjoyable. Tasty cakes, with vegan options, and very nice to sit inside the beautiful art hotel lounges.
