Cedars Inn in North Devon

Great service, friendly staff. Good food, reasonably priced, we go here lots + you can stay there too. It is in a pretty setting too

Lunchtime stop on a Wednesday. Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Steak sandwich was chewy (had has ache at the end) and the brie sandwich had the smallest amount of brie in. It was embarrassing. To say we left feeling a little conned would be an understatement. To top it all off, we were never asked how our food was and was pretty much left to look after ourselves. Walked to the bar twice to buy a drink only to be told that if we're in the restaurant, they'll come take our order. Service was non-existent really. It's a shame really as my folks come here quite often and had said how nice it is usually. We won't be hurrying back here soon. Shame really that a total lack of customer service and quality control have cost them a regular customer.

Very enjoyable stay and dinner here.The room was big and spacesious, warm and a nice sleep.There was a big function of over 100 people but they still served customers staying in the hotel which was great.Food was lovely and quick service.All the staff were friendly and welcoming.

Nice place, food wasn't great, terrible service.We came here for mother's day and there was a ridiculous wait between each course of our meal. We were there for 2.5 hours, most of the time just waiting for our food to come out.My stepdaughter's pizza came out burnt but they did replace it. Our roast dinner's were supposed to have mash on them, but they both came out with mash the size of a 50 pence piece on each plate. I've never seen anything like that before, it was mostly a terrible experience and one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had.

Went for a family meal which we all really enjoyed, well cooked and presented. Lovely restaurant area with good range of food and drinks available. Staff friendly and helpful.

Rooms clean and bed comfortable, really good night's sleep. If I had any constructive feedback would be that it needs a little bit of TLC and at certain times feels like there isn't enough staff. However, it didn't spoil anything, enjoyable stay and probably would again.

Stayed here for 3 nights in January. Bedroom was lovely, well presented and modern. Chalet style buildings were quaint and the upstairs rooms felt like you were "loft-living". Breakfast menu was varied and cooked well. We dined there in the evening as great menu, too. Staff were lovely and made you feel very welcome. Recommended.

Well what can I say absolutely great weekend at The Cedars. Staff on reception, at the bar and Lauren could not do enough for us at breakfast. Weve stayed her before so we knew we would get a beautiful clean room, great food, polite friendly staff who could not do enough for us. Thank you to all the staff at the Cedars

Appalling food. We walked out in the end. Vegan burger deep fired to within an inch of its life. Signature fish and chips missing items stated on menu. Chips barely warm. Would give zero stars if I could!!

What a wonderful Inn. The room was so nice and cosy with modern facilities and the bed was just so comfortable. Despite the reception being closed on one of the days during our stay; the customer service was really good. When requested for extra mugs, it was delivered to us in half an hour. The location of this inn is in a beautiful place. There are several supermarkets close to this inn but also it’s located in a place with so many trees and it was just so peaceful. I would stay again.
