Chulmleigh Tandoori in North Devon

Disappointing. Nowhere near our usual restaurants quality. I have never tasted a bhoona like it, the sauce was like a thick onion gravy and my husbands balti had a very odd tang to it. Naans were lovely, poppadoms were nice, mango chutney was like red syrup - very unlike the usual chunky orange coloured chutney. We will not be going back

I cannot believe so many people return here and rate this as a good Indian restaurant! We moved here last year and we’re excited to see such a week reviews restaurant nearby. We had a chicken tikka balti curry and lamb passanda.. it was the worst curry I’ve ever had. Tastes like it’s been made with tomato ketchup and very dry meat. My husband didn’t eat his and made a bagel for dinner instead!The accompaniments were odd tasting too, very sugary and not at all authentic. The naan was nice but that’s about it. I guess if it’s the only curry house you’ve ever been to you might think it’s good but honestly.. if you like good food I wouldn’t bother. I’m sure the staff are very lovely but I really don’t rate the cooking skills at all. Sorry!

Oh wow my experience was nothing like anyone elses. The service was abysmal, we couldn't get anyone's attention for THIRTY minutes (no exaggeration), they walked away half way through our order and we had to call them back Stained tableclothes YUCK. Staff handling all the food naans and poppadoms with their bare hands.

Visiting from West Sussex. Had great reviews so we drove a way to go here. It was worth it, great portion sizes and great tasting food.

This is one of the best Takeaways I have tried in my life time. It is so lovely to come across a FAMILY run business and not a big chain. I was recommended some very tasty dishes from the lady behind the bar(Daughter I think) who was very polite and chatty. Food was great and tasty and great value for money. I would recommend this great Takeaway to my family and friends!
