Everest Gurkha Chef in North Devon

Absolutely loved this place. Myself and 4 friends were having a night out in Barnstaple and stumbled upon this place, the food was amazing and they catered for the 5 of us despite us not booking. Fantastic staff as well... highly recommended 👌

Fantastic, reasonably priced curry. Basic restaurant which added charm...very clean.Very friendly staff who were very accommodating considering the carnage of the empties left by 20 men's BYO!Highly recommended.

Excellent, superb food and service, this place will be my default for this cuisine from now on, take away or dine in, had both and can't fault it 😀

First class. DeliciousFood was gorgeous .best nan bread i ever had.The mixed vegetables cooked to perfection with good taste and slightly al dante.Nepalese lamb tender and beautifully spiced.Highly recommend this restaurant.

Intimate venue that serves sublime food. Once you've eaten there you'll want to go back. I can't rate it highly enough, it's simply fantastic!

We had the last table on a Tues night. Food excellent, flavours brilliant and authentic. Staff really friendly and attentive. Don't go there for the looks, go there for quality food.

I come from Birmingham where we are spoilt for choice for amazing curry houses. I've been disappointed by Devon in comparison, until I found this amazing place! The everest special was the nicest curry I've had in years. Awesome service too.

Okay order via. “Just Eat” and delivered on time … but small, small portions and no ‘extras’ supplied, so poor choice compared to other Barnstaple curry restaurants.The ‘mushroom Bhaji was bizarre! It was just a pot of plain fried mushrooms - no flavourings at all (whats that about?!)Even though we spent £40 there were no free poppadoms, also no free yogurt sauce with the chicken tikka main (£10!) …So, we felt it was quite mean all round actually!

+ Amazing food.+ Friendly and welcoming staff.+ Cosy location.• You have to book ahead to get a table.- Not super accessible for wheelchairs due to small size but staff are accommodating and will make space.Overall if you're in North Devon you should absolutely visit The Everest Gurkha Chef.
