Galleon Tea Room in North Devon

Like many other small businesses in Combe Martin and on Borough Rd, The Galleon does nothing for locals or the local community.

Really nice place, staff made us feel at home. Food was good.

Wonderful cafe very close to Combe Martin beach.We sat on the upstairs outside terrace but also a lovely cosy inside section.Staff we very friendly, food was excellent and the Covid guidelines were really good, track and trace, all tables and chairs cleaned before we were shown to our table and easy one way system in and out of the cafe.Thank you to the whole team.Highly recommend

Food is amazing, staff are amazing. All round amazing! Been here every day we could all week whilst we’ve been here on holiday. Would highly recommend coming here for breakfast, great way to start the day!

The café has an amazing view of the beach! The staff are warm and friendly and happily cater to different dietary requirements. They have a range of vegan and gluten free meals and cakes. :)

Outside seating only, but tapes, arrows, hand gel, signing in etc were smoothly organised. Afternoon tea/coffee were good, and watching the road and pedestrian traffic from the balcony was restful, but fascinating. :) We could have stayed longer.

Thoroughly recommend the cheese scones and cafetiere coffee. This set us up before we embarked on the 6 mile circular walk to Little and Great Hangman and coastal walk. First class service from lovely staff. Thoroughly recommend and we'll definitely be back.

1st night out since lockdown eased and we enjoyed a curry on the terrace. It was great, food was fantastic as was the atmosphere, can't wait to go again. Thank you 😃

Great Food & Hosts.We visited this roof top tearoom for a cream tea & were greeted with a lovely smile into a relaxing cosy tea room. The roof top is separated into two halves, indoor & outdoor & our dog was very welcome too.We ordered a cream tea & our eyes popped when we discovered that you don't get one scone but two warm massive scones for the price! I have had quite a few cream teas in mylifetime & must say that this was the best I've ever had!Whilst eating our scones our eyes were caught by the other meals that were being brought out for other guests & it looked delicious! So much so we returned the following day & had thebest meal we've had in a long time, the portion sizes were great, the food came out quickly & could have eaten it all again, the homemade lasagne was incredible!The prices are extremely well priced & do not reflect the quality & portion sizes they could charge more for what you receive.The family that run it are some of the nicest people we have ever met & they certainly know how to run the perfect tearoom!This is a MUST if you want to eat out in the local area!

We held our wedding reception here on the 8th September 2018. Martyn, Jackie, Jenny and their team were absolutely brilliant. The room looked lovely and the food was delicious. If you have a small event (we had 37 people) and are looking for a venue then this is the place to be. We use the cafe regularly and are never disappointed with the food or service.
