Good Fortune in North Devon

Poor customer service warning , order early as , not taking orders as too busy 6.20pm on a Saturday night , rude on phone ask you to call again in an hour , still too busy to take orders at 7.30pm . Be aware you need to order very early and cash only ! Food is good if you can get any !

Delicious food. Nice staff. They also accommodated our late order and still cooked it for us. Piping hot, fresh. Will come back.

I would give zero stars if I could. Absolutely shocking customer service. Our food was given away despite being given a numbered ticket and then when we weren’t happy to wait for the food to come back (umm hello, we’re in a pandemic, they could’ve coughed on our food plus I don’t want cold food thanks) the staff was rude so we demanded a refund. This was also after waiting 45 minutes and they didn’t even immediately tell us so I think they were just hoping the old cold food would turn up and they could palm it off on us. DO NOT GO HERE. Could be the best Chinese ever, I’ll never know because the staffs rudeness made sure I would never go back

Really disappointed. Craved a nice takeaway and ended up with a blant pak Thai, hardly any noodles in there and no flavours whatsoever. The Malaysian pendang was horrid. So much cheap curry sauce in it. Tasted nothing like pendang. The rice was not salted at all. Waste of money.

Had 6 dishes between the four of us and all were bland and flavourless. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend.

We are away for our holidays in the caravan and fancied a Chinese takeaway so googled ones nearby. I went on the reviews and the look of the outside of the premises (I do judge a book by its cover!!)It was clean outside and in, you are asked to wear a face covering or wait outside for your order. The food was absolutely gorgeous. Really tasty and big portion sizes. We had Thai crispy chicken, special chow mein and the pepper chips. The free bag of prawn crackers are not as big as the ones we get in Yorkshire but who eats them anyway 😁 Also cash onlyHighly recommend

We had a takeaway from Good Fortune while on holiday in North Devon and can honestly say its the best quality Chinese takeaway we've had in the UK. It was a Saturday night so worth ringing early to order. Would recommend the chilli crispy beef and duck pancakes, all very tasty and not too greasy.

1,The staff were helpful in explaining dishes and adjusted to help with veggie options2, I know it was quiet but they delivered to Woolacombe which we really appreciated3 , the dishes we ordered were tasty , hot and generous and well pricedI would highly recommend

Very good Chinese takeaway. Low prices and friendly staff. The shop is following all precautions to help protect against Covid-19. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for food in the woolacombe or Ilfracombe area.

Probably the best Chinese takeaway we've ever had. Crunchy fresh vegetables Really good prawn courgette and black bean sauce. Can recommend the vegetable stir fries too
