Great experience and lovey Father’s Day brunch. The views are amazing of the river/bay. Tasteful decor with plenty of interesting things to look at. Spacious rooms with high ceilings not cramped like other places. Menu sounds great and the breakfast we had was delicious and lots of it! Shame the outside was having work done. We look forward to returning for lunch next time we’re down.

Lush location looking over the estuary and some superb food. Stunning views and great venue to relax and enjoy a beautiful part of North devon

So glad we popped in by chance! Love that they’re dog friendly, and it really is a lovely cozy place. We had the salt beef sandwich, it was yummy, but I was a bit disappointed when it didn’t come with pickled pink onions as it says on the menu, just sliced red onions came out. It still tasted good, especially dipped in the yummy sauce !Can’t fault the team as they were all lovely! And the views outside are gorgeous!

Stopped here after a lovely walk along the sea path. Great atmosphere and also dog friendly. To the point where they have watering stations and treats for the dogs. Which is a lovely touch. Didn't eat this time but the smell and look of the food has made it a must for our next trip

Easy to find, with plenty of space to park and access for disabilities. Dog friendly with water bowls. Good food and drink at a fair price. Staff are a credit to this venue. Happy in their job and nothing is to much. Highly recommend a visit

Looks lovely from outside. Garden area uncleared of broken glass on floor (I had to warn dog owner) and tables not cleared of drinks glasses. Staff were unwelcoming, said no room although tables were empty. We asked if we could have drink the garden, and permission had to be requested! Disappointing, for us and a family who were outside with small children and said dog.

Booked last minute Sunday lunch today.. welcomed and seated quickly. Lovely atmosphere..the staff obviously get on well.. warm and friendly... did their best to fit 'walk ins' in, even though online fully booked.. Lunch arrived quickly and was well presented and tasted delicious.. thoroughly enjoyed.. only complaint..no room for dessert! Next time!!

Fabulous meal today...fish and chips..fish was well cooked and chips were amazing. Service was spot on . Previous visits have been haphazard with service and food slow to arrive. What a difference the table ordering has made...we thoroughly enjoyed our visit ..made even better by the prosecco treat from Heanton Court for my birthday. Will def go back, hopefully the table service will stay..

Had a very tasty meal today, excellent service despite being short staffed. Food was scrumptious, great surrounding, love the decor, nice and clean with a lot of character. Great that dogs are allowed in the bar area too. There were about 5 different dogs but plenty of different nooks to keep them safely apart, we have an anxious dog and he was fine. All around very pleasant and chilled experience, made my day, thank you ☺️

Lovely building inside and out and friendly staff with good service. Underwhelming food, had to wait longer than ideal between the starter and the mains and the steak was barely warm. The plates were half empty with meager chips and salad, not at all satisfied with the value for money. Drinks were served quickly and the facilities clean and tidy.
