Excellent menu, for both adult and childrens menu. Our 2 boys loved the mussels. Really good value for money and lovely restaurant. Look forward to visiting again.

This once our favourite place to eat when we visited North Devon, but unfortunately not anymore. The quality of food is nothing like it used to be. Such a shame.

THEY ARE RESELLING SUPERMARKET PIZZA - Literally a £1 oven pizza sold for £10 - £14 depending on toppings.Checked out other reviews and saw multiple people talking about this, if they're doing this for takeaway, I would question their other dishes on the menu. 900% Markup on their pizza orders. Robbery.

A very average meal, pork belly was ok, nothing amazing, same with the ribs. Puddings were dreadful, doughnuts and waffles which definitely were not fresh and most likely microwaved, we did complain about the doughnuts as they were rock hard and they were replaced and taken off the bill. The wine was good. I also wish the wait staff wouldn’t wear overtly strong perfume, I’m pretty sure that isn’t best practice. We wouldn’t go back.

Very nice little bistro in the centre of Croyde. Prices comparable to other restaurants. Very good gourmet burgers and also had chicken stroganoff with breaded brie with a chilli sauce for a starter. Courtney was on duty who was very helpful and cheerie

Customer service brilliant, Tesco pizza shockingWe were camping on a local campsite and decided to walk into town for some food. We came across this quaint bistro styled restaurant, we were greeted by a very friendly waitress who placed our order of margarita pizza and chips for takeaway. We received the food after 15 minutes and walked back to our tent with our food, we didn’t realise until we sat down and opened up the box that to our horror... an overcooked Tesco pizza. If you zoom into the photo you’ll notice the classic Tesco style holes on the pizza crust which was the same as the base, a pizza bought for £1.50 at Tesco and sold on for £8, shocking!!And it seemed to have been sat there for 30 minutes before being barely warmed up as it was rock hard. When taking a bite there was no steam coming off, no stringy cheese... just bread and toppings, they had tried to make it look fancy by adding dried mixed herbs - but this just made the cheese taste even worse. The chips however were fine, and the pizza ended up making a good frisbee..You may as well wait 50 minutes for the stone baked pizzas at the top of the road.

We had a fabulous experience at Hobbs Bistro last week.I'd booked and was glad that I had when we turned up and realised that there are not many tables inside the restaurant. But usually, the fewer the tables tends to mean the better the food (in my opinion). The atmosphere was good and decor was nice. The staff were welcoming and our server was very friendly, service with a smile! The food was very good, especially the Black pudding with Chorizo and Mozzarella! (pictured) I'd not had anything like it before but it worked oh so well!Definitely would return here and recommend it to anyone!

Friendly service but really disappointing food that was hugely overpriced. £100 for dinner for a family of four. The pizza looked and tasted like a frozen supermarket pizza, first time my son has not eaten pizza. Main meals didn't seem freshly served, possibly all out of the freezer. We won't eat here again.

Our first weekend in Croyde and our first time at Hobb's Bistro. First impressions were pretty good, but the atmosphere declined somewhat when we were 'overlooked' by a young waitress who stood 'watch' over our table and couldn't crack a smile or even utter a word whenever we ordered or requested anything. The owner, by contrast was very pleasant and accommodating - even offering to box my eldest son's pizza up when he finally admitted it'd beaten him!All-in-all a nice venue offering decent food at fair prices, let down by the young 'atmosphere vampire' of a 'waitress' - not what I'd expect from a supposedly family friendly venue in an affluent Devonshire coastal village in the modern hospitality game.
