Honeymoon Chinese Restaurant in North Devon

A quarter of a container with about 8 pieces of meat in it I got sent and they said sorry but prices have gone up and if we give you anymore we won’t make any money. Also forgot my can of coke with the delivery and went and got it for me but a business with good customer service would have at the very least gave a extra free can of coke but nothing, so I had no drink with my Chinese until after. Food was ok otherwise but won’t go back with this experience

Took a chance on this restaurant as a bit of a laugh since we were passing by actually on our honeymoon. What a surprise. Very friendly staff and delicious food.

Went to try out the restaurant on the weekdays, wasn’t disappointed. Good portions for each dishes served with all of the food being crispy and fresh. Lovely staff made it an enjoyable experience. Will definitely come back again.

Absolutely shocking service tonight, placed an order to be delivered which when it turned up our salt and pepper chicken was salt and pepper chips, phoned the restaurant and the lady who took the order answered basically blaming us saying we ordered salt and pepper chips not chicken! I can’t understand there could be a mix up as they sound similar ! she said she went over the order and we agreed it was correct .. no we didn’t, to be blamed for us making the order wrong to be told then if we want chicken we would need to pay the difference and give the chips back which was over priced! Always order from here and won’t be again after that shamble of a service tonight and rude customer service. Most restaurants would of dealt with that a lot differently, stress free, apologised and not blame!

We turned up late but they seated us happily.The food was excellent the service was quick and the staff were very friendly.5 starts all the way.Thanks, Annie

Food was overpriced, microwave sauces. Service was slow. I had the sizling steak which was in just sugar sauce. Partner had the green Thai in cooked in pot. This also turned up not cooked in pot and can make better at home. Would not recommend.

Good food but terrible serviceI ordered a one person takeaway over the phone and was told it would be 50-60 mins. After 1.5hrs I still hadn’t received food but the manager was so rude and dismissive. I understand they’re a small business but at least apologise. I just can’t go there again after this. She (the manager) was awful.

The food is incredible, prices very good and service good. I have not got a bad thing to say.

Had a takeaway dinner, all hot and tasty. Good sauce on dishes, and not too sweet like some other Chinese restaurants. We had sweet and sour chicken and plum sauce duck. Glad I chose Honeymoon for my takeaway treat.

Nice Chinese restuarant with traditional decor.Food: really nice food. We had a good mix of dishes and all were tasty. If being critical, the duck (with pancakes) could have been meatier as was a lot of crisp! But overall it was nice.Price: middle priced in comparison too others. What I would expect to pay.Atmosphere: we went on a Sunday evening (2 adults and 2 children) and it was quiet. The decor is traditional and nice. The staff well friendly and attentive.Overall I would recommend this reatuarant and would go again.
