La Petite Bouchee in North Devon

Anita-Claire and her team are exceptional! We were lucky enough to visit last weekend and enjoyed a fabulous 3 course meal. Each one of our party of 4 throughly enjoyed every mouthful of our meal, from the delicate crab tartlets, melt-in-the-mouth beef wellington to the abundant moule frites and decadent chocolate fondant. Cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. Cosy, comfortable, relaxed, convivial with wonderful fresh local produce, a deliberately limited menu focusing on classic cooking and generous portions! A-C and her team come through every time. Heartily recommend 👌

Delicious food made all the more special by Anita-Clare's warmth and company. My fiancée and I have some complicated dietary requirements which were all catered for. Anita made the nicest wheat free roll I have ever had!

The food was very good indeed - testament to Anita-Clare's intent to serve only fresh produce using a limited menu. We applaud that! The wine was sensibly priced, again from a limited list which makes perfect sense. Don't expect french portions though; these are quite substantial!Our one minor complaint: although the ambiance of the restaurant was very pleasant, we were rather cold!

Food is absolutely amazing, so filling and full of flavour. Definitely highly recommend. Anita an amazing chef

Disappointing food,disappointing service.3 courses all within 1 hour and tasteless food. Waste of money and spoilt what was supposed to be a special occasion. So much for our first meal out since COVID!!!Will not be back again! Nor will I be recommending it to anyone. Over priced for food you could do at home!

Had the most wonderful meal here with friends last night. La Petite Bouchee has the whole package, fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere and impeccable, warm and friendly service. I can not recommend this place enough.You have to pre order your food, which is not a problem, it just means you know it has been prepared properly with time and love and this shows when it appears - a feast to the eye and the taste buds.Thank you all at La Petite Bouchee, we will be back.
