Lush Bar & Restaurant in North Devon

Judging this place over a couple of visits, fantastic customer service, the young waitresses are extremely professional. Great vibe, a relaxed enviroment for sipping cocktail be it with a best friend, loved one or for a group celebration ?(hen do/ stag do, sensibly of course) their understanding of cocktail making is on point with the right blend of sweet and sours and balances of flavours. Would recommend as a nice place to pitch up for while on an evening.

Booked a table for 5.30, but arrived early. The staff happily accommodated us on a table well away from others as we had our husky with us. Very friendly & attentive staff who tended to our every need & ensured our dog had a bowl of water at the table.The combo platter starter we shared between us was delicious & came to the table well presented & hot.We had 4 separate dishes for mains. The chicken & bacon Caesar salad & sticky chilli chicken & halloumi salad were huge & very tasty. My son had the fiery Korean noodles which lived up to their name & were very flavourful & my husband had the katsu curry which he thoroughly enjoyed. 3 of us were too full for dessert but my son had the honeycomb cheesecake which was presented beautifully & was rich & creamy. Together with the real ales & the delicious mocktails, especially chillin' on the beach, this was one of the best meals we've had out in ages.So much so we've booked to go back again next week! Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed.

A really fairly priced restaurant with highly attentive staff. Clean and tidy, beautiful moody atmosphere and well balanced cocktails. Roast dinner on a Sunday is always a 10 😍 really good for families as they have a separated area from the restaurant area, which means you don't feel like you're disturbing anyone with little one. They also have a children's menu. Staff are so friendly every time we visit and always smiling, so helpful. Bathroom is clean with lots of little perfumes and bits for just in case moments...

All I can say is I was blown away!! I had the Sunday nut roast and it was superb served with a great selection of vegetables including proper cauliflower cheese served piping hot in it's own dish!! I decided to try the créme brulee with raspberry sorbet & shortbread for dessert and was not disappointed!! I would definitely recommend Lush Bar & Restaurant to anyone visiting Barnstaple!

Me and my partner Jamie Duffy had a lovely dinner, today all fresh ingredients so tasty. Staff very helpful and friendly you deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you so much and we will be back. It was nice to be treated in such a friendly professional way.

Had a meal here last night with my family. The food was absolutely lovely, so much flavour, perfect temperature and served in good time. Service also great and there was a really nice ambiance. Will definitely be returning for the next special occasion.

Excellent. Great food, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere. Was busy on the Tuesday evening I visited, which shows just how highly rated this restaurant and bar is.Had the Halloumi salad, which was accompanied with a bowl of chips / fries. All washed down with a nice glass of white, perfect!

Great atmosphere. Lovely staff. Delicious food. I went for something a bit fancier (not the burger box which looked amazing). The monkfish was delicious but not that big. My partner had the peanut noodles. Also delicious.

Had an absolutely lovely evening meal here. The staff where brilliant and the selection of food was plentiful. I had the mac cheese with pulled pork and it was incredible. My partner had the burger which again was amazing.Highly recommended

In the area on holiday, came here randomly on Monday night. Lots of places closed or looked a bit sketchy (eg Wetherspoons). Host (didn't catch his name) was warm, welcoming and found us a table even though we hadn't booked and was attentive throughout our stay, all staff gave a friendly service, good food. Had the fish pie: nice and fresh with creamy fluffy potato. Fresh green veg on the side nice touch. Partner had burger with pulled pork, nice tangy bbq with buttery pork. Decent drinks too!!! good cocktails and a half decent IPA on tap. Def. recommend. creme brulee for dessert: bangin'
