Always hunting for GF Fish & Chips when out and about! The chips here are good, nice and Crispy not soggy at all and the fish was fresh with a Crispy batter to rival anyPortion sizes not skrimpedMention before ordering if eating in as extra charge

Freshest fish and chips around. Having their own boat means everything is always straight from the sea and sometimes they have some unusual fish on the menu if you ask.

Highly recommend this restaurant!..excellent service and excellent staff…we dropped in without booking and we were made to feel so welcome. Helpful and kind waitress who was just the right level of attentive..absolutely yummy fish and chips the batter was crunchy and golden and the fish tasted so fresh and delicious. Extremely reasonable prices … clean throughout. Disability access throughout and disabled access to the toilets. Car parking would be in the public car park 3 minutes walk along the harbour road. Lovely view of the fishing harbour from our window seat…I expect it would be very busy in the season!! A* place!

So today I went into Lynbay to get some food and the staff was really rude and bloody miserable and made you feel like you shouldn’t be there ordering! Food was really dry and very expensive! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

I'm writing this review as a warning to others visiting Ilfracombe harbour, I'd be wary of eating inside as there are no menus on the table displaying prices. A child's meal of chicken nuggets, chips, bread roll, a small caprisun came to ÂŁ9.30 and a small portion of beans was charged as ÂŁ3.80. I appreciate it's more expensive to eat in establishments but I feel some of the prices are unreasonable and taking advantage of tourists.

Good food. It seemed a bit overpriced, but it turned out that by ordering large battered fish, they simply give you two pieces. If I had known, I would have ordered much less and saved some money.

Staying here a week.Hubby said this was the best Chip Shop in the area.So l said if it is I'll have Chicken and Chip's. See if it can be cooked without the Chicken being all dried up.So that's what he got.It was lovely. So succulent too !Certainly would go back.

Apparent award winning fish and chips? Perhaps in the past but unfortunately on this occasion vile!Questionable costs and below average quality Cod and chips. If I was the owner I would take note of the idle and rude female member of staff who served us which clearly is part of the issue there. We always get our fish and chips here when on holiday, sadly we won’t return again.

Waited around 30 minutes for gluten free fish and chips. They were disgusting. Dripping in oil. Soggy batter and found it hard to taste fish as it was cut so small and thin. No substance to the chips. Overpriced. Also ordered a latte and got half a cup of frothy watery milk

Nothing stands out as particularly special. The mushy peas were tasty and the curry sauce were flavoursome. Chips average, fish average. Questionable value for money.
