The chips are gluten free and delicious. The team are very helpful and friendly ( my husband phoned them to check if they do anything gluten free). We highly recommend them!

PLEASE disregard all reviews within the last few months. - It would appear the restaurant has changed hands? - although I can't be sure?We have been several times over the past couple of years and never been disappointed. - The service, quality and prices have been A1.This visit - July 2022 was, sadly a completely different experience. The selection was limited. - ONLY fish available was Plaice. - AND this turned out to be undercooked.NO Gluten Free options. - even though it was still advertised! - Evidently GF batter was unobtainable?Well ...... TAKE THE SIGN DOWN.You're only open for three days a week for goodness sake. - It's not as if you're rushed off your feet!!Unless a big change, we'll travel into Lynmouth for our fish & chips next visit.VERY Disappointed.......

Fabulous chippy in Lynton. Medium fish & chips for £8.50 , really good portion and absolutely delicious. Only fault anybody had out of a group of 5 was that the pots of curry sauce should have been bigger. Curry ran out before the chips !

Popped in on the last night of our holiday at The Lynhurst and so glad we did! Absolutely delicious fish and chips at an excellent price. Enjoyed some banter with the owner who was friendly and very sensibly not allowing inside customers during these times. Thank you 😊

First of all I have heard good think about this place until visiting. In the current climate I believe that the owner needs to be very careful with the staff (dark haired male) behind the counter. His rude comments and dry food would ensure I will never come back. The girl taking the orders however was very friendly and seemed to have control over the place. One local woman came over to so for a certain item where the guy previously discussed said we haven’t got them and she replied but I called Tom and they said this week. The girl t the front of shop then said she would call Tom to check to which the guy said no don’t we haven’t. Once the local woman walked away he said he wasn’t going to walk downstairs to defrost them. After all small businesses have gone through this is something nobody needs. Chips however were nice but avoid the chicken.

Really nice little fish a chip shop. We got there a little late in the day and you could tell they had a busy one! Fish was really nice, chips were a little oily and seemed like they were scrapping the barrel before close. If you have time take the short walk up from the fish and chip shop to the garden of the church and you can eat your fish and chips with one of the best views in town!

First class traditional fish and chips. Chips lightly cooked, fluffy, but still crisp. Fish, expertly done! Best I've had. All cooked fresh to order as you'd expect, loads of customers about - I think it helped keep the food quality high - from pan straight to gob!

Ordered from here last night not busy and ordered for 6 of us. Ordered 3 large cod and chips sadly the fish was the smallest I have ever seen and the chips were under cooked and soggy. Cost over 40 pounds and had to throw half of it away as inedible. Do not recommend.

Great little take away in Lynton which comes super handy especially when you are not able to find sitting place in any local restaurant. It was a busy weekend and we forgot to book places to eat but who needs to sit in a restaurant if you can enjoy yum donner kebab and fish & chips with the view.Food was simple but delicious! Portions were generous with good amount of meat in my kebab and chips. Fish was also a good size covered in a ligh butter. If you hungry you definitely feel satisfied after. Team was working really hard with many people waiting but despite that they were also super helpful. They let you know when your food is ready and they stick to the time so in the mean time you can enjoy a paint or a glass of wine in their local which is just around the corner! Cheers!
