Maddys Chippy in North Devon

Most delicious Cod & Chips, Battered Sausage & Scampi had at Maddys tonight, the girls were lovely and got a lemon to squeeze on my scampi, thanks ladies a real treat for us as we ate it on the water front.

Ate here last night and the food was amazing, i waited a while as the shop was really busy so if you want to be in and out call an order in advance, amazing fresh food… you can park on the quay nearby and eat your chips right next to the marina at sunset 😊

Staff were friendly and helpful , I had the cod and chips cooked perfectly and the cod tasted really fresh would definitely recommend

A friend recommended Maddys . Today (18/11/21)was the first time I have visited Ilfracombe and I tried Maddys for lunch . No regrets , I'll be back ! The staff were really friendly and my haddock and chips were great . Not greasy and it was all really well cooked . First class service and a good meal , definitely five stars .

The fish was lovely and tasty but I wasn't too keen on the chips although that's down to your own tastes. Unfortunately our table wasn't clean when we were shown to our table there was still chips and some batter on the table and the blonde headed young waitress was walking round with her phone in one hand while taking orders. I don't really like to say which waitress it was but the other waitress was very much on the ball.

Nice, typical seaside fish and chips plaice, haha. Service was quick, social distancing measures in effect. Good menu and generous portions, though plaice was undercooked and oily. Overall good experience nonetheless. High chair also provided, sanitised

By far the best fish and chips in Ilfracombe, fish is lightly battered and it’s a cute little eating hole. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend

YES I am back again Too long time.Having Classic Fish and Chips with Bake Beans and a little salad. Eat the salad first then put Beans on my Chips. It's the way I like them. The service was friendly and quick and later asked if everything was OK.Yes there's gossip but it is one of your Local Best Fish and Chip Restaurant.
