The food used to be fantastic but has gone downhill- portions have shrunk, sauce was more like a soup and the chicken was hard. Hope you get back to how it used to be...

If i could give zero stars I would. I've never had to wait this long for a takeaway order to delivered. I ordered one curry an hour and 40 minutes ago, still waiting. Phoned multiple times to chase where it is, but apparently they can't contact the driver. This better be the best ever curry if it even arrives. Don't bother wasting your time or money.

The stars are for the food which was lovely. However...having ordered and been told delivery would be 8.25-8.45 when the food has still not arrived by 9.00 we commented on the page and were told the restaurant would call us in 5 mins...didn't happen. We rang them at 9.20 to be told the driver is 'just around the corner' He eventually arrived at 9.30 with a cheery 'sorry about the delay' after ringing us for directions...we live on the main Sticklepath Hill!I asked him if was aware the food was an hour late and he replied 'yes I am aware, sorry about that' I told him it was now too late to eat and he didn't reply. To be honest I was as annoyed about his don't care attitude as much as the massive delay. I know things go wrong, we all get busy but they really wete not bothered about leaving us with £32 worth of food we could only eat part of so we were unimpressed.

Unfortunately I will not be ordering from here again. I was first advised of this place a while back and I collected an order on my way home from work. It was fabulous and I really enjoyed it.I then had a delivery with my neighbours and again it was very good although I thought the amount of chicken in my tikka Masala was on the tight side.A further delivery a month or so ago with friends was hugely disappointing. It was a VERY large order which I placed the day before to give plenty of notice and requested a time for delivery. 25 mins after our delivery time I had to chase where it was, to be told the driver left 10mins ago. He obviously hadn't as it was a further 20 mins before he arrived. All the food was cold, which I had to warm up in the oven and again the amount of chicken in the dish was very small. To last night's meal and this time I decided to order King Prawn Masala. The food was hot this time except the starter (onion Bhajees, which are also tiny for the price) which were stone cold and in a paper bag???Prawns? Where. There were so few I almost rang up but decided not to as a) I just won't order from you anymore and b) reviews go a lot further. As for being King Prawns, that was a joke, they were tiny.I'm sorry, but I have always thought your prices were very high anyway but I don't mind that if the food is good, which it is, but I feel you are ripping people off. £14.50 for a meal that had tiny and very few prawns in it and was mostly sauce.I'm afraid you've let yourself down Masala.

Excellent, a really delicious Indian which we haven’t had for a very long time! We did request extra spicy even on our vindaloo and it didn’t disappoint. Thank you!

Have enjoyed meals from here previously when visiting friends but recently the food has gone downhill, quite dramatically too. What's happened? Some of the specials are good but most of the meals were under seasoned, quite bland and the vegetable curries felt like they had just come out of a microwave meal, no love or passion with them. When you're paying £11.50 for a main meal you expect at least something well seasoned and rich with flavour. We eat at many different Indian takeaways and restaurants every year and this was definitely one of the worst. Delivery was also very slow, with no communication from the takeaway.Honestly if you're in the Barnstaple area please try somewhere else, there are many better takeaways and this one simply doesn't deserve your custom.

On holiday visiting family. I’ve eaten 1000s of curries in many many countries - tonights lamb tikka naga was the best curry I have ever had! Do you guys deliver to Cape Town???Superb. Thank you.

My wife and I hadnt an Indian for ages only to find the others in Barnstaple wouldn't deliver. It was an hour wait but that means they're just popular and I was happy to wait. Had a chicken korma and rice a chicken byriani with a nan. It was all very nasty though I thought there wasn't enough chicken to the sauce and the nan was only a small one. Still enjoyed it and we will eat their food again.
