My mum thoroughly enjoyed her stay here. The staff couldn't have been any more welcoming and friendly. Excellent food and service. Such a friendly, accommodating bunch. Thank you for looking after my mum. She's a nervous soul and hard work at times but she had a very comfortable, enjoyable stay

Fantastic quality food, the chicken burger and chunky gourmet chips were delicious. All the food that came out looked amazing. Really friendly customer service from all the staff.

Pretty much a joke. Took ages to get food and when we questioned it instead of apologising and looking into it, bar staff argued and said "well I don't think it's been an hour!" whoa. Food mediocre to bad. Avoid. Veggie risotto was god awful. Arrived at 7. If we placed our order at 735 (we didn't) then I would rest my case. This place just doesn't know what they're doing. In addition the waiter apologised at least twice for the long delays due to "lots of people arriving at once" so the owner here below is full of it.

On holiday last minute turned up and though fully booked was welcomed with a table. Having walked for miles so glad we got in and wow. Food just superb. Service by Chloe, Izzy and Jacob brilliant can't be faulted and thanks to the kitchen for producing awesome food. Definitely coming back would recommend without a second thought.

Food was good, Bolognese and fish chips were lovely, steak and burgers were average. Quite disappointed with the service over the phone when trying to book a table, being told they were fully booked over their 3 restaurants and then turning up to basically empty rooms. Staff serving during the evening were helpful and friendly

Today Emma and I visited your lovely place! We had probably the best reception even! The owner and his wife made us feel very welcome from the very first step into their business. We are both very impressed with your hospitality! Many thanksGavin Hendry

First and Foremost, the Pack O' Cards is a lovely place to have a drink, with a lovely atmosphere, especially during the summer in the garden. However, the food is atrocious. If you're charging £17/18 for eveery meal on the menu, you'd expect fresh homemade food with that's been cooked with care and passion. What you actually get is frozen, store bought food that's been warmed in a microwave and thrown on a plate with no real care.

When we saw this place, I was convinced that I wasn't going to like it. However, how wrong was I!Loved the Oak bar, had a cosy, country pub feel that I hadn't expected, a choice of cask ales. There was non-alcoholic cider and a non-alcoholic lager. Big choice of gins .The dining area is less inviting but large and there's a big outdoor seating area with kids play space/climbing frame & slide.Ended up visiting a couple of times for drinks. Had we been staying in the area longer, we would have tried the food.

Waited for over an hour to be served after we were seated. Many dishes unavailable. We ordered drinks which took a further 25 minutes to arrive. My pork burger eventually arrived (cold) chips were perfect, side salad was disappointing. No cutlery, delaying us even further. The waiters were just too interested in socialising at the expense of providing an attentive service. The Manager/Boss was busy dealing with a refund to the family next to us. I do not recommend dining here. Cold food, poor service expensive and limited menu.

Accommodation and breakfast superb can't fault. However we were less than happy with the evening meal. The 10oz steak was probably 6oz at best and very gristly, we did complain the response was "I'll tell the chef " in essence the meal was overpriced and very poor quality for very average pub grub. The service was nonexistent could not order drinks and food together having to queue for both and pay separately. We understand Businesses have had a very difficult time, but to encourage more holiday makers to return to Britain in future years, when cheaper foreign holidays are an option, they must provide an unforgettable experience NOW. Impress and delight the customers.
