Great service and even better food. The chicken Balmoral was terrific. Highly recommended!

Nice staff, good locale, pleasant decor. Food was a disappointment. We had scallops which were very overcooked . Followed by fish curry, prawns and monk fish cooked well but in a sauce from a jar and packet rice. My food was sent back due to a hair among the vegetables. Won’t visit again.

Service was great, food was pretty good, although the steak pie wasn't an actual pie - they had the meat on the bottom and just put a bit of pastry on top which was a bit disappointing. However, the food was still good overall.

Food and service was excellent definately recommended

Staff were lovely, food was very poor, shocked as I had booked after reading all the excellent previous reviews. We left after our main meals and went elsewhere for a dessert as my partner and myself were both so disappointed.

·

Hadn’t booked, but they kindly accommodated us for an evening meal. One vegetarian and one not. Both had very food meals, excellent house wine. Friendly and helpful service. Dog friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Just lovely! But before I get into the food, a huge shout out to Liz, the owner (and to her manager Tony) - I had a bit of an unusual request & Liz very kindly went out of her way to accommodate this. Really impressive personal service, thank you! The food is really delicious. We had the monkfish and prawn curry and the (from the daily specials), mackerel, with a side of herb mash. Both dishes beautifully cooked and full of flavour - thanks to Pascal the chef. I would highly recommend the Puffin. If you are in North Berwick, please eat there, you will not regret it!

Visited her for lunch. My husband had fish and chips and I had steak pie and chips. Both meals were excellent, really lovely chips, and good value. Good friendly service. Felt Covid safe. Our second visit, we will be back.

Delicious lunch at The Puffin. We had the beer battered haddock, the batter was so light and crispy, one of the best I've had. Husband had the halibut and enjoyed it. Good service from nice staff, would definitely return. And the dog even got a Bonio!

Stopped at The Puffin for lunch with the family last week. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Paper and colouring pencils were provided to keep my oldest (3 year old) entertained. My wife and I both had the Cullen Skink, which was lovely! The whole menu had my mouth watering and next time we visit, we will be back (just the adults) for dinner.
