The Captains Table in North Devon

Very poor experience for us.. 😞Everything way too expensive for what it was!Chicken breast burger was very dry and chewy!..Kids mimi burger was burnt he wouldn't eat it!No salad on ploughman's!Drinks extortionate price!! 4.50£ for bottle of corona!Hot chocolate 4.50!!Spent £80 !!McDonald's would have been much better!!!Avoid!!!!

Lovely cafe just back from the beach by Woolacome Bay Hotel.Lovely hot chic and food.Welcomes dogs and you can take them inside.Set on ground floor, and there is an upstairs too, which I did not go in as I had my disabled Dad with me.

5 stars. Food was wonderful, the meat was perfectly cooked, food was piping hot, egg was done properly and unlike so many places we got fried bread too! The service was impeccable and the atmosphere and 'vibe' was lovely. It was our first time eating here and we will certainly be returning again!

The staff made us welcome the moment we walked in. They were brilliant with the kids and the food was great. As a seaside cafe/restaurant, it was spot on. They happily let our 2 boys share a kid meal. Definitely recommend - and they even sell dog friendly icecream!

Good range of food lotions available. A nice view of you are by the windows. The service was all fast and friendly.

Our little family came here for an evening meal as the pub on our campsite did 1 veggie dish and nothing for the kids!! We came here and they did lots of veggie food and also changed meals to work with what our kids liked.The staff are accomodating and the food it beautiful.It was so good, we bought the rest of our family the following night (20guests).Everyone cleared their plate!I'm just sad we live so far away...until next time x

We had a meal here last night...absolutely best meal we had while away on holiday. Seafood platter, macaroni cheese and steak! Beautifully cooked, presented and lovely service. Will definitely return again.

Found this lovely little place on our first day of our visit to Woolacombe. What a find! We went there every morning for breakfast. Beautiful 'quality' food and presented well. Quality meaty sausages and bacon, eggs to perfection. Veggie breakfast looked good too. Good price, nice pot of tea, Covid guidelines adhered to (I respect that...we're not out of the woods yet!) The whole setting was very clean, including the toilets. Staff were friendly and respectful. No rushing us or hovering. The view upstairs looked out over the beach and sea. Brilliant location. We didn't need lunch as we were still full from breakfast! Winner! Definitely worth a visit at any time of the day.

A queue to get in but not surprised as it seems a popular venue. Not visited here before. Friendly, polite and professional staff found us a table for 2 quite quickly.Lovely seating area inside, spacious and Covid compliant.Plenty of menu choice for breakfast.We went for Surfers breakfast and my wife had crossiants.Great food, great atmosphere would highly recommend. Will be back in August 😊😉👍🏻👌🏻
