Pre Mother’s Day treat with my boys and the food was amazing! Even tho they where rushed off there feet our food wasn’t long coming out and the staff where just lovely, drinks where flowing and the atmosphere was great. If your in Devon then this is the pub to visit! Nothing is too much trouble and it’s dog friendly aswell which is an added bonus! Check them out and take a look at just one of the offerings on the menu!Combo… doesn’t it look Devine

On arrival the bar maid was very attentive and spoke to the children we had in a lovely manner. The place was clean, the bathrooms were amazing and had everything a woman could need.The food was amazing, the chef/owner was lovely. He spoke to us for a few minutes after our meal and explained he'd owned this place for 10 years also advised us about his "best roast in the South West". Music was spot on, with volume and choice of music.Will return in the future!

Fantastic little pub/restaurant, partner and I attended on a Saturday night recently and were blown away.All staff were amazing, attentive and even had a personal visit from the Chef who was potentially the owner/manager I believe.Made a personal recommendation to my Partner regarding the lamb and she wasn't disappointed.Amazing portion sizes, great service and great tasting food.Can't wait to go back.Will actively be recommending.Thank you.Chris and Niki

Excellent pub! Staff were great and attentive..... the Chef popped out to have a chat about the menu which was lovely...... The food was delicious; we had the 10oz steak (cooked to perfection), the ribs (delicious, very juicy and flavorful) and the little one had chicken nuggets (seemed homemade and very tasty). I would definitely go again, it was a great culinary start to our weekends in Devon.

The Castle is one of the best places we have been for food. We had the platter with Steak, chicken and Sliders, it was truely amazing. The setting was perfectly clean, fantastic halloween decorations and Exceptional value for money. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, even asking us what we thought would enhance their menu. Thank you, we will be back with friends :)

Great pub. Staff very friendly and food awesome. Our first visit but definitely not our last. Big portions at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

I searched for local dog friendly pubs and this one popped up locally. The staff were really friendly and the food was excellent. The burger supreme was one of the best pub burgers I’ve ever had. They were also happy to modify the kids meals for fussy easters ( ham no egg and chips 😀). If I wasn’t here for a quick break I’d definitely eat at The Castle Inn again!
