The Cock Inn in North Devon

Sunday lunch was good, drinks met expectations, and service was above average. It was completely my taste, but I felt some of the design features were more for a bar than a pub. It could be my feelings, but I did not feel as relaxed with the vibe given off by the decor.

Sabina and Chris B Have been fabulous hosts, really friendly and informative. I came in alone and felt so welcome and loved there energy. They made really good choices as I wanted picky bits. Love them both, they are a credit to your establishment. Diana Davies

Very nice food and atmosphere, good pub grub...little pricey

The food was lovely. Bar at the front and restaurant at the back. The bill was reasonable too. Plenty of car parking space. Staff was friendly and very helpful. A bit of a hidden gem.

Food was nice and they have a kids menu and plenty of parking out front. Service was slow though. I and my husband both stood at the bar a few times totally ignored by staff who were putting bottles into the fridge rather than serve us. I'm 3 weeks away from having a baby and standing for ages being ignored is not great. We've just moved to the area so I don't think this is going to become our new local anytime soon.

Excellent evening dinner on Saturday night. Served by Chris B who was lovely throughout. He made us feel very welcome from the start and regularly checked to ensure we were having a nice time. Food as always was fantastic. Highly recommend the rack of lamb! This is fast becoming a regular favourite for our family. Dog friendly too!

Really enjoyed our Sunday lunch here. The food was really good, really fresh and well-cooked. The service was excellent - staff very accommodating of our two children. Kids' roasts were great, and excellent value. They even have proper metal kid-sized cutlery. Perfect for lunch after a roam around Trent Park. Will be back!

Went here years ago when there was a Thai restaurant and wasn't impressed. But now it's REALLY good! Highly recommend it. Great variety of menu items - high end rack of lamb down to burgers and pizzas - and all were very good for our party of 5.

Place is good, service is good, staff are very friendly but food was disappointing. I had healthy salad bowl with Salmon. Presantation was good but not the taste. Very small piece of Avacado like my finger size, very small portion of salmon coast you extra 5 pounds and over cook.My friend had cauliflower and other disappointment Menu is very fancy what you read you do not get.😔Over priced.😟2 stars for the staff.

Lovely place, nice, clean and very welcoming, Also it was nice to see they take covid rules seriously, wearing masks until we sat at our table etc, food was lovely! Staff are always friendly Also they have a car park! Which is always a plus! AAA****
