The Jack Russell in North Devon

Had a lovely meal for my mums birthday. Good food, nice staff. 😊

Still think this is the best Sunday roast in North Devon. Meat is as always cooked to perfection, spoilt for choice on veg, and what can I say about those roast spuds, and loads of them too! They always bring out extra gravy without having to ask. The puds are not disappointing either. Definitely worth a try if you haven't been before and fancy trying a new place.

Visiting the area from London and had some of the best food I've had in ages. The calamari was super tender with the batter just perfect and the pizza was one of the best I've ever had, I highly recommend giving it a try if you're ever in the area.

The jack Russell is an amazing pub very warm and welcoming place, felt more like home than in any pub I've been in. The food was really good and all cooked to a very high standard, would recommend the jack Russell in Swimbridge a place to go if your in that area.

We have just had a wonderful home cooked meal at The Jack Russell. We are in the area on our holiday and booked at short notice. Not only did they manage to squeeze us in, we had a wonderful meal which was delicious (and not overpriced). The pub is very pleasantly furnished. The staff very friendly and attentive ( and happy to share their local knowledge of the area with us). If you book here, you will not be disappointed. I wish this establishment every success in the future, they really deserve to do well.

Made most welcome even though we hadn't booked when arriving at lunchtime. Because we arrived early and being just the two of us, we were obligingly catered for. A roast meal consisting of a thick slice of turkey breast initially served with Yorkshire pudding/parsnip/stuffing, followed by six double servings of vegetables . Carrots, spring greens, roast potatoes, red cabbage, mashed swede and cauliflower cheese. Amazingly, just £6 each.
