Great food, great service, lovely location. Not much to do around the area though.

Had a super meal here, great location on the edge of this beautiful Devon coastal village. Great ambience, traditional country pub, great food with a touch of originality, my wife had a Houmous Burger 🍔 and loved it. Recommended

Lovely pub and nice staff but expensive and disappointing food. We chose the seafood linguine on the specials menu which was overpriced and didn't taste of anything. Wine was average and costly. Perhaps choose something to eat they can't mess up and drink tap water and you may have a different experience.

Beautiful family run pub with a great atmosphere and a superb Sunday carvery,Good pub just further up the village that allows you to escape the busy village centre.Check out the newly landscaped beer garden 😀

Firstly don’t believe the hype, as their website displayed a fine dinning experience. The reality is rude staff, long wait times for both food and drinks and some of worst food my family and I have ever been served🤢. If you are lucky enough to be seated in the conservatory, you will be greeted by some very friendly flys. The conservatory area reminded me of a hospital canteen, in look and smell. Don’t ruin your holiday, avoid this place at all cost, but of course if you like frozen microwave food. Enjoy

Such a disappointing experience. Had to queue for at least 30 minutes and had a brother hospitalised due to the poor quality of the outside playground. The incredible incompetence of the staff members is beyond me, took at least 20 minutes to clear dirty plates and were very rude to one of our party when asked about the pool table which they advertised which was no where to be seen. We were plagued by flys all through our meal. Website makes it look so much better than it actually is (the website is the best thing about this place). Just an overall disappointing experience for what should and could have been a nice family meal.

Disappointing. Staff were abrupt, incompetent and failed to serve us probably. Furthermore, the beam located in the play area injured a close friend of ours, which ruined his holiday. The food was below average and many inconvenience such as decrepit furniture and unusable seasoning dispenser. All of this came after waiting for 20 minutes to even get to into the place. The prices were abysmally high and overall it is was a night to forget. This is not the worth the one star I’m am being forced to give and I strongly recommend never to go here.

Lovely setting, large car park is a big bonus considering the popular location. Deliciously scrumptious food & very friendly, accommodating service. Food was well above average pub grub and something on the menu to suit everyone. Prices were reasonable for the standard of food we had. As a party of 9 we had two separate tables close together which was fine as it was a last minute booking. Wheelchair accessible entrance (a ramp is provided upon request). We had kids with us & as we tend to dine early (16:30-17:00 ish) it was very quiet. By the time we left it was very busy, yet not overcrowded. I will definitely be taking the family back!

Unfortunately our experience at the manor was not very good. The restaurant was understaffed as in other reviews, despite this we did not have to wait long and our drinks and food arrived quickly. The table service was ok, staff appeared quite miserable, but they were understaffed so fair enough. We had read online that the restaurant serves seafood specials, fresh from the sea… we ordered calamari and whitebait to start, they were definitely fresh from the freezer. Scampi and seafood linguine for mains, the scampi was again from frozen, and I doubt the seafood in the linguine was much different. My scampi arrived with no salad dressing and no tartar sauce, and the chips were soggy. For the price (£64) the food was poor, you’d get the same at any chain pub for much less. At this point I would have given the restaurant 3 stars. But, the worst part is my partner the next day became very ill with suspected food poisoning which abruptly put an end to our holiday and has meant we will now miss an important event. Having not eaten since a cream tea at lunch it seams the seafood was the likely culprit.
