First visit on a lunchtime was exceptional so much so I went back a 2nd time. It was evening this time. Staff were polite when you spoke but not very forward with help. Shown to table and then waited over 20 mins whilst watching others shown to thier tables and thier orders taken for service, I had to get there attention to order our drinks and food, then waited another 20 ish mins for 3 soft drinks and a beer. Whilst waiting for food observed the chef scratching and rubbing his beard and face and one waitress biting her nails, all in-between them serving. When food eventually came out mine was cold in the middle, after getting someone's attention to tell them discreetly, she replied with oh, took plate and walked off, my dinner eventually come back after everyone had almost finished eating with no apology or explanation. Will not be going back.

Great service. Online ordering is super easy, and the food was very good. Staff were very friendly. The giant fishtank kept.my daughter entertained why we waited a couple of moments for the food to be packed up.

My father-in-law took my wife and I here!! All I can say is Wow!! Portion size was simply amazing! The fish and chips was the best I've ever had. I hope to go back soon. The staff were amazing and very friendly!

Spent £29 on a takeaway for my family. One meal was three pieces of chicken and chips.When we got home, two pieces were the tiniest pieces with hardly any chicken on. I called to complain and the lady there said "oh you were just unlucky". No I wasn't unlucky. Whoever put it in there would have seen that two of the pieces we paid for were tiny. They could have swapped at least one.She then said. "I'll pass it on".I'm so please she said that because those words immediately grew the chicken to an acceptable size and I longer felt that I had been robbed! Annoyed!!

Our first visit and we was very impressed. Cod chips and curry sauce was absolutely amazing. The batter was so light and crispy almost tempura type batter. Please give this awesome chippy a try. You'll be hooked. We are and we'll be back very soon.

Tina Turner - Simply the Best!! Food is out standing and delicious 🤤 me and my friend come up from Swansea in Wales pick furniture up and decided to come here for food!! Served the best Cod and chips ever, also we had the crab cakes were absolutely incredible. Beautiful place. No1 chip shop in Britain 🇬🇧

Great staff, Great food and drink with some vegetarian choices as well as traditional fish and chips, plenty of space between tables so not cramped and I always see a wide range of people eating there so must be worth heading out of town for, car park out the back a bit tight but works ok for me.

Every time we come to Devon we love a visit to this lovely friendly place clean and great service food excellent. The restaurant is lovely fish super and fresh cooked to perfection. I had the skate which is my fav 5 star

Best fish and chips in the area hands down. Service was friendly and helpful, prices reasonable, service was also fast. Fish was really fresh. I've been here a few times in the past and I felt this was the best visit. Also bonus points for being open on a bank holiday. The salad option with fish below was really great for my parents and as you can see from the photo it was presented really well and tasted great.
