The Red Barn in North Devon

Best fish and chips I've had in a very long time, fish was fresh with no skin on and cooked perfectly. The batter was amazing light crispy and not greasy, it was also crumbed with a light coating of batter scraps, a very nice touch, chips were also delicious as were the mushy peas.

Having had a terrible experience last year, the new management have really turned things around. The staff are super friendly (especially Jan 😉), dog friendly, an excellent atmosphere and the food and drink sublime. Our go to bar after a day on the beach

Absolutely fantastic! Had one of the staff suggest a new drink combination for me to try and absolutely loved it! It was fantastic! If you are here, ask for a Thatcher's Gold & Black. Trust me, it is divine!Oh, and get some cake too, had a slice of lemon drizzle and it only lasted 30 seconds because of how good it was.

I was at The Red Barn the week before Easter so it was still doing test openings. Never known a change of management need to do that before. Anyway, no food being served but I was pleasantly surprised that the Badger Best Bitter was so good. I mourned the demise of Tribute but its still available in other pubs. Just a shame they don't advertise "card only" before you come to pay. I will be back in June so hope food is on by then...oh, and £4,30 a pint was good value too .

Lovely restaurant with really comfy seating and fantastic views of Woolacombe Bay. The food is slightly pricey and booking in advance of your visit absolutely essential. Our server Frankie was helpful and very welcoming and we are enjoyed our meals which were well presented and delicious. I would definitely return again in the future.

Fantastic food on a beautiful beach. The specials were fantastic quality for location. The best restaurant in North Devon and we tried a lot. We'll done chef!
