My Mother is Celiac, she was able to enjoy a full Sunday Roast including gluten free Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese and gravy. Just let them know when you book. Nothing is too much trouble for them, in fact it's probably the norm. Thank you Stags Head Inn for a lovely Mother's day experience ❤.

The food was just OK but would expect better for the price, the chips had been dipped in oil that was probably too hot as they were dark on the outside and raw in the middle. Not as good as it used to be. Plus side the staff are friendly.

Called here 2/12/18, the day after our wedding at the Highbullen (also 5*). The whole wedding party was with us and we kicked Christmas off in style as we were all wearing Christmas jumpers. We had a fabulous time, were given the warmest of welcomes and the food was outstanding. We're due to call to the area soon and I think a return visit is a must.

Recently visited for the first time and had a delicious home made pasty pie with homemade chips, peas and gravy. Brilliant service! Will be back soon!! 😊

Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff, good food cooked well and some good local ales. Prices very reasonable; main + dessert and a drink for two around the £50 mark, but also have some higher priced mains as well if you want to splash out.Food choices are British classics, we had a selection of pork and the pork loin, both served with roast cubetti potatoes and veg. They also do a number of fish dishes as well as steak and curry.Dessert ranges from Creme Brûlée to banoffe pie with clotted cream or the solid cheese board.Highly recommend a visit!

A real pub with excellent food, well cooked, well presented and reasonably priced. Added to this was very proficient and friendly service. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

We had a wonderful famil meal here. The food is fresh, beautifully cooked and well presented. The staff are attentive. They cater for everyone. They have dog friendly areas. The proprietors are on hand and ask patrons for their feedback. And I haven't even mentioned the setting.

Lovely cosy country pub with an excellent range of food. I had crispy seafood starter, duck in plum sauce and brownie for dessert (which was so lovely and gooey). The staff were very welcoming and helpful too, catering for our group of 9.

I stumbled across this whilst travelling to South Molton to pick my car up. The bus i was on turned right from Landkey, I spotted The Stags Head and I thought we must try this place. I was expecting average because you tend to hear about all the hot spots around and this had never been mentioned to me. All I can say is, 6 of us visited and 6 of us were blown away. It has all the character of an old fashioned country pub, it looks the part it smells the part. If an old country pub is what you want the hand fits the glove. The staff were chatty and delightful. The food was home cooked food, everything here is made from scratch and you know it's been done with love care and passion. This will be a new go to place for my family and I.Oh and we asked the Chef/ Owner Sue?.. I think it was Sue. To come down and have a chat, to us, to which she obliged and there's all the proof you need. Talk to her for 5 minutes and you'll know why it's so good.
