Decent gluten free menu. Good size and well cooked meals. Kids meals a little small but good value at £8. Have returned whenever we are in the area. Nice community playground behind the village hall, within 5 mins walk if you have kids that get twitchy sat in the pub.

Friendly, lively, helpful staff. It's Pub Grub which means pizza, burgers, fish and chips. Fine if you just need food, but if you are looking for a night out or trying to impress a potential mate then you might do better to raise the bar somewhere else. Hope this helps.

Excellent place to eat. Went there on my birthday Wednesday the 23rd of March and the food was so nice. We went back the following evening for the same steak 10 oz ribeye steak.Would highly recommend this place to anyone and everybody.Friendly and welcoming staff too.We will be returning againFive stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very busy and very dark inside this historic building, with a fifty minute wait for a plate of Nachos (which were very good), and twelve quid for three soft drinks. Disappointing experience. Bar staff were polite but not overly friendly, more perfunctory than engaging. Not a lot else to say about the place I visited throughout the nineties and noughties, other than it would have been nice to feel more welcome, and not simply as a meal ticket. The fire was a nice addition, but it was roasting what with the sun shining and blue skies. Probably won't return, and spoil the memories I have of my previous many years of quaffing ale here.

Lovely pub, great food, atmosphere and friendly staff. Kid and dog friendly. Kids ate everything (this never usually happens) and dog was happy with wood burner. Would definitely visit again next time we are in Croyde.

We've visited the Thatch many times over the years in our travels to North Devon. Their standards are consistently high and the staff are courteous and professional. It's a lovely place to visit with a varied menu plus plenty of space for eating both indoors and outdoors. They do have some free carpark spaces for those who beat the crowds.

We had an amazing Sunday Roast followed by a scrumptious dessert, all local produce and home cooked. Extra gravy and generous portions and enjoyed the local cider. Staff are very friendly, all in all the menu and atmosphere made our holiday memorable.

Visited today whilst having a short break again, I had never visited before but my partner had fond memories of the pub, hence making a special trip to the pub. It’s a warm, traditional pub which is dog friendly, a must for us. The prices are high, £9 for a pint and a draft Diet Coke, £17 for fish and chips, but prices we don’t mind if the food is quality. We started with a sharing chilli nachos (our usual go to). It was nothing exceptional, it wasn’t unpleasant and the portion was decent but for some reason there were loads of salad leaves within the dish. A very unusual choice which I have never seen before and wasn’t particularly nice. We both had fish and chips for mains. The fish was fresh and the batter lovely and light. The chips were packet fries, I would have expected fresh hand cut chips for the price. Again the portion was good. Staff were friendly and clearly a very popular pub

Lovely setting, great range of drinks and a gorgeous building. Ate and drank here a couple of times during my stay in Croyde and it was an excellent experience both times.Selection of food is decent and the quality is very very good, with excellent portions.Only missing one star due to the prices. A round of drinks is likely to cost you near £30, and a meal for two with desserts will hit about £60. I just think it's about 15% too high given that it's essentially a nice pub. However, I would highly recommend this place if you're staying in the town.
