Since moving to England from America, Spoons has become one of my favourite pubs/restaurant. The selection and prices are very reasonable. The food itself is usually really good. There are times the food isn't perfect but for the price I don't complain.

If you like bitter beer try Abbots Ale at £2.39. This is a great establishment with drinks prices reminiscent of the 90s and high chairs and tables to entice you away from the bar area. Always popular and ordering your drinks / food on their app is a breeze. It’s such a shame that pubs in the area cannot cope with competition of this sort.

Friendly staff and food was good. We unfortunately had to send it back the first time as the buns were frozen cold and the bacon was not hot at all. They apologized and were quick to get the food back out.

Good service using the app 👍 this is a good go to if you want affordable food and you want to sit in. It's even better if you can secure a booth as then you have some privacy. The main reason I've given three stars is because I personally find this wetherspoons very dark and dingy and prefer a lighter, cleaner decor and atmosphere.

I don’t know if it was because we went in late (8.00pm) but we found portions were stingy, our puddings which I’ve had from multiple spoons was cold and waited a while for food to arrive.Deceptive as no river views, admittedly the garden next to the river was lovely but not what we were expecting!Also anyone looking for dog-friendly places - Wetherspoons have a no dog policy even in outdoor garden areas

Disappointingly poor. Could have been so much better, the staff were nice enough, the plaçe nice enough. But the cooked breakfasts arrived beautifully cooked, well presented, but cold! Cold fried egg, cold fried bacon, cold mushroom and cold baked beans. How can you enjoy that???
