Best chips in town freshly made and friendly service

I never ate here because they only do; eat in at lunch times and they are only open until half seven for evening takeaway.....really! Does that change in the summer months?Anyway I can't judge the actual food quality. I'm sure someone else will say if it is actually worth sitting down at lunch time to enjoy their fish and chips and perhaps some mushy peas. I will watch this space.FURTHER: Thank you for your reply. I didnt really mean to provide a bad review against your fish and chips, as I said I hadn't had any, so certainly wouldnt comment. I was asked to provide a review of where I had 'visited', so explained that I hadn't actually eaten there and the reason why. I had been hoping to sit down in the evening.From the other reviews I've now read, it would seem your restaurant is actually worth visiting to try your fish and chips and I look forward to doing so when I'm next in South Molton.I still find it odd that you are only open until 7.30 is it, in the evenings but obviously if you have explored all options then you have found that to be the best.I appreciate, especially after 2 years of lockdowns, how difficult it is for businesses to survive let alone make good profits. I wish you well for the future and will definitely come and try your fayre when next in South Molton.

Amazing! Amazing! My wife is gluten free (medical condition) and so many fish and chip shops try to do gluten free and don't succeed. These were the best! ABSOLUTELY THE BEST Will be back most definitely. Thank you

went down to south molton . went for dinner in the welcome fryer.lovely fish & chips great service. good price. when we finish we got upand walked straight out door without paying.apologies.as soon as we realised we would have came right back and payedwe will be back down in the new year. so sorry thanks anne

The food is cooked from fresh which should mean hot quality food, but it was cold and tasteless. Gave two stars because the lady taking the orders was friendly.

OK, so after your rude opinion of my not wishing to write a review, I will;The chips were under cooked and not very good.I only gave a medium rating based on the food I received, but now I guess I'll add into the mix your bad attitude towards your local customers like myself. 2 stars only. We had one of the best fish and chip meal I've ever had fantastic.

Gluten free fish and chips! 😍 delicious! The rest of my family had ordinary fish and chips, also yummy I am informed. Would highly recommend.
