Wimpy in North Devon

It's ok, staff are great but food is average. Really just came in to say we'd been in a wimpy.

Myself, my husband and daughter popped in for lunch recently. We were greeted with a smile and hello and seated promptly. The waitress was cheery, friendly and wonderful with our daughter. There wasn't a long wait for the food and when it came, it was hot and tasted lovely.

Great food and outstanding service! We haven’t had a Wimpy for probably 15 years so we drove the 50 miles from Exeter for a treat. All the staff are very friendly and Sam made us extremely welcome. We had the classic Half Pounder and Mega Burger with Chips accompanied with Banana Milkshakes. All the food was delicious and would definitely recommend giving them a try. I just wish there was a branch on Exeter.

Haven't seen a wimpy in donkeys years, was exactly as I remember it. Food was good service was good, always has been a bit pricey but was a real nostalgia trip

When we arrived just after 5pm we were made to feel that our custom wasn't wanted due to us wishing to dine in and were told that after 5:45 it's takeaway only!After being shown to our seats we had the menu practically thrown down onto the table by the grumpy waitress.The food however was good and reminded me of years gone by as I hadn't had a Wimpy burger in many a year. The guy behind the counter was pleasent and friendly when we came to pay our bill. I believe the the food is over priced compared with other well known burger chains.

Finally visited wimpy in Barnstaple today coming from weston super mare, it was amazing!! Loved it! Food was brilliant, waitress service was really good, it was so good to be served by older ladies who new what they were doing as of knowing how to look after you as a paying customer. It was like stepping back to the 70s where when you went shopping,you could feel you were being properly looked after in a welcoming atmosphere. Please come to weston super mare. Thank you so much for still being there.

The customer service, the attitude of staff, the atmosphere, and the food were everything I hoped for in this nostalgia trip having not been to a Wimpy for many years. Everything was first class, and we are now than likely to make a day trip again. Well done to the manager and her staff for preserving the essence of what this was always about. Thank you, visiting here made my year!

Don't think antiquated or old fashioned fast food. Instead think diner experience, with warm and friendly waitressing and food a significant leap over the usual drive thru golden arch experience.Haven't been here for years and was very surprised by the service, their adherence to COVID security measures and of course food. Make no mistake, it's still a burger, sausages and fries experience but they do it all their own way and give you cutlery and serve on plates.

I popped in today as I won't lie to you I didn't even know Wimpy's were still open. Lovely friendly staff much more of a local/family feel rather than the cooperate MacDonalds feel. Don't get me wrong it's still fast food but just feels nicer, maybe it's nostalgia but either way well worth at visit.Excellent service, very clean and very welcoming.

First time here. Haven't seen or been to a wimpy in years ( since the 80's ) meal deals slightly more expensive that your mucky d / Burger King deals. Staff member polite and Covid regulations adhered to. Nice to see another staff member wipe down a table and seats when it got vacated. QR code on front window. Hand sanitiser near door entrance. Burger was ok nothing amazing. Fries felt like they were either over cooked or recooked?! Prob won't go again but ok for nostalgia value.
