Angola '76 in North Dorset

Had fabulous cocktails here last night. After a very poor experience in the Grosvenor we came here to find friendly and welcoming staff, a great atmosphere and delicious drinks. A must go to when in Shaftesbury

Popped in here with a friend who lives in Shaftesbury when we were passing through. Great place and atmosphere, food extremely good at reasonable prices, definitely a good reason to visit again, highly recommend!!!

Wonderful place. Such a chilled out, relaxed bar. The staff were so friendly and the food and cocktails were of a high standard. The nachos and halloumi fries were amazing, so delicious. Loved the chilled music too. A true credit to Shaftesbury, simply put it is a gem. Thank you guys for a lovely evening!

1.8.2020 always love coming here. The new table service is wonderful. We had David taking our order and you could wish for a more pleasant company. On the other hand, his colleague who was making the drinks, could do with going to hospitality school because he was ( pardon my language) but a bit of an a$$h@le!!!! Everyone makes mistakes, after all he who makes no mistakes makes nothing at all,but to be so offended of being kindly informed that a drink was wrong, charged for another tables drinks and being aggressively blamed for his mistake ruined our drinking experience for the evening.

Came in here a few weeks ago very late (just before closing time) bar staff could’ve easily been annoyed and almost refused us service however they were more than happy to serve us and were very welcoming! Had a nice atmosphere and will definitely be visiting again (just a little earlier next time!)

Lively place, very different but very pleasant. We went there for food, decided to have tapas and we got some dishes and for the 3 of us it was more than enough. Drinks we went for cocktails which were customised by the bartender. Good music and ambiance!

Great venue, lively friendly place. Brillant live band had to stop too soon for license reasons but dj followed? Wide range of ages all enjoying a night out together. Important social hub for place like Shaftsbury

loved the place!! So friendly and such a lovely atmosphare, a good program with lots of live music, perfect for a good night out. Haven't tried the food but it looked very appetizing, great to have found a place where you can have a dance. Staff were great too.

Extremely friendly and smiling staff. Great cocktails, great food and great decor. Regular live music & bands scheduled. There's a lovely outdoor terrace area as well which is ideal for drinks in summer. Also, secured WIFi and very clean premisses.This seems to be a fun & lively hangout that's popular with the locals. Highly recommended if your in the area and not in the mood for something a bit more lively than a "local pub".
