Hall & Woodhouse Visitor Centre in North Dorset

Fantastic tour, Pete was very knowledgeable, charismatic and entertaining. Beer very good along with the food. Thoroughly enjoyed the day.

This is the first time we have eaten at a brewery and we weren’t disappointed. The welcome from the staff and I assume the lady in charge was lovely and made you feel right at home, through our entire visit you could hear her talking to the staff and public in the same way, very bubbly and a genuinely lovely person. My husband had a pint of Dorset Tanglefoot Ale with the tanglefoot steak & ale pie with creamy mash and red cabbage, a very good portion size and was very tasty, the mash was creamy the pie was full of filling and the pastry wasn’t bulky and was filling. I had a pot of tea and lager battered fish and chips, it was incredibly delicious, the fish was a large portion and the chips were tripled cooked and they were delightful, I chose the mushy peas and there was tartar sauce, the peas were nice and I wasn’t keen on the tartar sauce, but that’s just me because I’m very fussy when it comes to tartar sauce. I was able to get three cups of tea out of my pot, the cup was a small size but it was plenty to drink and the tea stayed warm. Overall, we had an enjoyable time and we will definitely be back again. The toilets were clean and very welcoming as well. I couldn’t see disabled access as there are stairs into the restaurant, to be honest I didn’t ask if they had disabled access, luckily I was able to manage the steps with my walking aid crutch. The atmosphere was very calm and it felt like a very happening but chilled space, it was very enjoyable and can’t wait to come back. Thank you for making our lunch a worthy decision.

I would like to thank the staff that were in the restaurant today. As a new mum they were incredibly accommodating with the breastfeeding, moving tables, leaving prams in the way, taking time to order etc. Especially thankful to the man who looked after us, I believe his name was James.I was meeting a friend who lives far away and this was half way for us so we were there for a period of time but felt in no way rushed or a nuisance. A lovely experience.

We were on a wee trip to Shaftsbury, and the Badger Brewery was on the way, so dropped in for a few beers and a look around. Great variety of beverages. We looked about and picked 10, they have good deals. Unknown to is if you purchase 10 you get 20% off total. So 10 beers for just under £19 squids. Tried the kreik one and the poacher one back at house just fabulous. Cherry flavour is wonderful and the fruity Ness of Damson's from the Poached one is lovely. Also had a look at some of the beery stuff upstairs overlooking bar/restaurant. Cheers 😁😁😁😁

The home of Badger Beer. Friendly staff, a great venue and wonderful craft ales. There is an area upstairs showcasing the history of this historic brewery, the downstairs area is spacious and comfortable. Tours are available and takeaways can be purchased directly from the brewery shop.

Couldn't wait to visit, though sadly the tours are cancelled during lockdown. The restaurant is still open I believe. The friendly staff let us into the shop which has all the classic Badger beers plus some beers only available there. Well I had to try them! Worth a visit if you're in Dorset

I went on a Brewery Tour here and really enjoyed it. It was very comprehensive and took well over two hours . Apart from looking around the whole brewery and the brewing process, it also involved a trip onto the top of one building allowing some lovely views across Blandford Forum and also the Old Brewery Building. Seeing the bottling plant in action was also good especially as it is the bottled variant of this beer that first brought this brewery to my attention.Parking was quite tight mainly as the venue is let out for conferences and courses.The tour ended with a complimentary drink at the end.

The Hall and Woodhouse Brewery offer a fantastic dining experience for its visitors. We stopped in on a sunny afternoon. The staff were fantastic and offered taste tests for the beer while I was selecting what I would have. The portion size was very generous and definitely value for money. We will be back here to complete a tour and have another meal in the near future.

We did the tour. Wasn't too sure what to expect, but it was amazing the guide we had knew his stuff despite being new to the job. He kept the tour interesting and entertaining.After the tour you get a ticket for a free drink at the bar you can have then or get a bottle to take home.After the tour we had food at the bar and it was lovely. It came out quickly. The staff were all friendly and rest to helpWould deffintly recommend the tour and the food.

What a gorgeous place. The restaurant is wonderful, with well presented, delicious food. There is also a lovely little shop selling H&W products at reasonable prices. The staff are all really friendly.Overall it is well worth visiting. ..and next time I might take the brewery tour!
