Fabulous breakfast, great staff. It's like a tardis when you go in 😊Will definitely make it a place to stop off for breakfast ☕

The place and food itself was very nice but my experience left me feeling very uncomfortable. I went with my partner for lunch. He ordered a burger and I ordered a breakfast, which was very large and great value for the price! However, there is an older gentleman who works there or cooks there, I'm unsure, but he made me feel very uncomfortable. When our food arrived and the larger plate was my meal, and not my partner's, he made a comment of it being 'the wrong way round', implying that as the female in the relationship, I shouldn't be eating the larger meal. I felt shamed and I was dying to leave. I felt so uncomfortable eating there and would never return based on this. I suggest in the future, you don't comment on your customer's food, you change your offensive opinions and refrain from shaming your customers.

Honest kind down to earth service, was informed of time wait for breakfast, it's popular.. Inexpensive and plenty of good food. I ordered gluten free and this was no problem. I would recommend and would not hesitate to return.

Kids macaroni and cheese was pretty rank (tasted like melted down plastic cheese).Toilets fairly disgusting.I got the big breakfast for about £11, which I consider quite a lot, and it was hearty tbf, but sausages overdone, toast a bit burnt, obviously not quality ingredients, etc.The decor is a bit weird - loads of pine everywhere and at the back it’s like a bright orange lava cave or something 🤷♂️It’s an unpretentious place with friendly young staff, so if you want those greasy spoon vibes it might hit the spot, but can’t say we’d recommend it as such.

Looked on Google maps to find a good place for breakfast before travelling home from our holiday cottage. A gentleman described this restaurant as Best Food on the Land! Well he's not wrong. Absolutely blown away by the big breakfast, 2x runny eggs! Everything cooked to perfection 👌 better than our cafe at home!

Cheap and cheerful. It's not gourmet but we're a family of 5 and all had something different and everyone was happy and full up. The staff are helpful and friendly and will cook stuff not on the menu if they can. I asked for 2 extra tea bags for my pot of tea which he happily gave me as I like my tea strong. We keep coming back here whenever we visit Shaftesbury.

Very pet friendly, our little one (if she had thumbs)! would give it the big thumbs up, especially when she was presented with a yummy sausage. we had a lovely fry up and a coffee, food was lovely coffe a bit weak, but I guess that's an individual preference. definitely recommend though.

I am giving this five as it is a museum piece. Opened in 1976 it has never changed. Been decorated regularly, but kept the original features. So if you want a 70's cafe with frothy coffee & fried food this is the place. They do have the modern coffee & up to date delights of the 21st century, but keep the old favourites. The breakfast are fun as are the lunches. Some good photos of old Shaftesbury on display. The manager has been there for 43 years, so the owners must be great too.
