Restaurant at Plumber Manor in North Dorset

Plumber is a beautiful family home as well as being a very English and comfortable hotel. Since the ‘70s, when we lived locally, we have been guests celebrating many significant milestones there and have never failed to be warmly welcomed by all staff. Nor have we been disappointed by the delicious food. Congratulations to Richard Prideaux-Brune for maintaining such a wonderful oasis especially in the current climate.

Service and food very good staff very attentive and lovely surroundings house and garden

I have been to Plumber a number of times over the years and it's one of the few places that never disappoints. On this visit I was introducing my other half to it for the first time. And it's fair to say it's charmed him too. The owners say they like guests to feel like part of the family and it's actually the feeling one gets. The house and grounds are beautiful. And the food is delicious.

Incredibly friendly, charming and hospitable. Richard and Alison Prideaux-Brune, the owners, wear their good humour openly and lead their staff by example. Very fine food, excellent drink, comfortable rooms.

A very traditional hotel with faultless service, great food, stunning wine list (and shhh, don’t tell the owner but extraordinarily good value) and very nice room. And just to cap it all, good fun!
