Always friendly & welcoming service, sometimes if I time it wrong there's a slight delay - but at least I get part of the new batch of chips etc. I know it's freshly cooked & the portion sizes are always on the generous side.Years ago I went in, i asked for my fish & chips with no salt or vinegar. Still to this day Steve (the owner/chef) remembers this. He has a phenomenal memory!The fish is always moist & comes away from the batter in lovely big chunks... Cooked to perfection :-DThe waiting area is tiny, with a small step into the shop. With current covid conditions it's queue to the left of the door (outside) , then 1 in the shop to order& pay (with face covering) followed by queueing to the right of the door(outside) whilst they prepare your order.My only minor disappointments are their opening hours are quite short (although I realise it's a family run business & hot /hard work), the other is making sure I have enough cash on me as I don't think they take cards yet?... Edit... Been in September 2020... lo & behold they now take card payments over £6 :DBut they're only little issues & don't reflect the quality of the food-which is excellent & the main thing :DLovely fish & chips, (other 'chippy' choices available) I would definitely recommend them.

I have been going to this place for quite awhile and for me it is great, the staff are very friendly and pleasant and they always smile, plus the food is excellent. I would recommend to anyone.

What a fantastic little Chip shop! Very polite staff and very quick. The chips are the best I have had in a very long time, no grease or bad or grubby looking chips in sight. The sausages are cooked to perfection as is the fish. These people put a lot of effort into providing very high quality traditional Chip shop food. Well worth popping in an trying, it's a real treat!

The best fish and chips in Dorset by far. Fresh fish, good portions and very popular with the local community. Very busy on a Friday night but service is quick - you cannot go wrong here.

lovely owners, by far the BEST fish and chips ive ever had !we are regulars here and haven't ever been let down.good value for money and good portions sizes.All round lovely chip shop,definatly should be voted the best in the southwest !
