This is a classic country pub. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available. As a Hall and Woodhouse owned pub, the real ales are great and served in good condition. The staff are just wonderful and make the visit that all more special. The venue is cosy in the winter with numerous fire places to keep you warm.

Stopped in this lovely little pub for lunch while out and about in Sturminster Newton. The food was excellent and good value for money. We had a Brie, Bacon and Cranberry Baguette and a Steak and Onion Baguette, both were served with crisps, side salad and a pot of creamy homemade coleslaw. It was a chilly day and the venue was cosy and warm. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. Will definitely call in again if in the area.

Stopped here twice whilst staying locally it is a lovely cosy pub. The Sunday lunch was excellent and the portion size was huge. Well worth a stop if you are local!

We had some good fish and chips and the shiraz was lovely. (red does go with fish in my book). The service was really friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We will definitely go there again.

Lovely little pub, dog and kid friendly. We came after seeing the mill for something to eat before we walked home but they stopped serving food at 2 which we turned up a minute late. They offered food though but we declined as we know the hospitality industry. We settled on crisp, pork scratchings and beers. The food around us looked good, and people eating was complimenting the food.
