The Charlton inn in North Dorset

Amazing pub for the truely authentic dorset experience. Andrea, who works at the bar, is the nicest, kindest and most professional bar person ive ever met.

Fabulous new breakfast menu! This is the large full English but the breakfast menu is huge to choose from and very well priced. Absolutely delicious and it's not your typical greasy fry up you get in cafe breakfast, hardly any grease at all, which makes it all the more healthier surely? :)

As we work our way back from Kimmedige in the evening after fishing this is the fist pub we come to that is open on a Sunday eve.And very pleasant it is too. A good sized garden and nice people.

Love this place. Always come back for the Stilton burger. Can sometimes be inconsistent food, but always great staff and locals.

I think I had the best steak pie and chips I have ever had last night when I stayed overnight at the Charlton Inn... the meat was delicious and great portions. Lovely pub, staff very friendly and a great selection on the menu. Everything I saw being served looked well presented and appealing. My room was in a little annex, was nice and clean and well presented. Located in a small village, there's a fantastic walk nearby on a disused railway line. Much nicer than the travelodge I also looked at when booking, and cheaper too!

Very nice indeed, I stayed one night, room was very comfortable first time I’ve stayed where there’s a wet room, ideal for disabled travellers, caring staff, evening meal very tasty I will definitely stay again when I’m in the area.

Lovely pub atmosphere with good food and wide choice of options available. Not your usual Hall and Woodhouse venue...much better.

The staff were lovely, the accommodation was perfectly fine. The price was acceptable for the night we stayed. However I would have liked a full breakfast and not a continental breakfast which was left in the hotel room... Also one of the items on the continental breakfast had passed the sell by date. Don't be put off however, despite this I would still be happy to stay there again should the occasion arise.
